Korach - Chukat 2011

Within last weeks Torah Portion, Korach covering Numbers 16:1-18:32, one of the biggest rebellions of the wilderness takes place bringing to the fore front a Levite name Korah! Upon the heels of being told Israel will not enter the Promised Land, a prime opportunity arises for one to attempt and usurp the authority of the camp. We see this taking place through Korah who succeeds in causing the camp of Israel to be drawn into sin against YHVH, Moses, and Aaron. But deeper than that what takes place here gives us a clear picture of the counterfeit compared to the real, and what happens when one accepts the counterfeit in place of Yahweh. Within this weeks parshah, Chukat/Decree of one of the most mysterious rituals of the Torah is shared, the parah adumah the sacrifice of the Red Heifer, being no coincidence that it is shared directly on the heels of this rebellion! To understand the significance of this rebellion, we must understand what is at stake! This is the 5th portion of Numbers/Bemidbar and the 38th portion of the year. o 5 = to be fruitful and conceive, light of YHVH, breath, represents Yahwehs creative power Psalms 33:6 By the word of YHVH were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. The battle and struggle for power arises over who is the true light, and therefore who will be the one to produce seed making others conceive and be fruitful granting themselves access to the creative power of Yahweh! o 38 = the gematria of kavodo His Glory Glory: Strongs #3519 kabowd glory, honor, abudance, heaviness This rebellion also seeks to attain the glory of Yahweh! The glory of Yahweh and the glory of man, and how they interact is a much spoken of topic throughout the scriptures. The proper way for us to interact with His Glory is seen in Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory (kabod) of Yah to conceal a thing; but the honor (kabod) of kings is to search out a matter. Thing/Matter: Strongs #1697 dabar speech, word, speaking, thing, WORD *1st reference is Gen 11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech/dabar. referring to the Hebrew language! This is also what Psalms 33 refers to of how He created everything by the Hebrew language (His creative power what the usurper is attempting 1

to access). For His own glory, Yahweh hides Himself within His Word and within His language (Hebrew) and it is for our glory to search and examine His word to find Him! This is how we interact with His Glory and have access to it! Who is the individual involved in this who would attempt to usurp the very glory of Yahweh? Numbers 16:1-2 Korah: Strongs #7141 Qorach bald From #7139 qarach to be bald, make bald; this is an individual who has intentionally made himself bald connecting back to the pagan practices of Egypt. It reveals that spiritually he has removed his covering and stands in direct rebellion and opposed to the covering provided by Yahweh. *Notice that his name is spelled with the same letters as the word chaqar meaning to search out! Korah = & chaqar = the difference comes in the location of the letter Chet .It is moved from the end of the name of Korah to the front of the word search. = fence, wall, it is said to be the doorway to light (connecting us back to the letter .) By searching out the Word, the fence encloses you, becoming the protected/intimate place; you gain access to the doorway leading to light the Glory of Yahweh where one is made fruitful by His seed! This same fence blocks Korah from gaining access though because he has rejected the duty of the Levite to live the Torah before the people Israel. This is the same letter that was drawn upon the doorways in Egypt in blood. It marked the household as one where the Messiah/true Groom would enter for intimacy, and the doors without this mark were ones where the death angel would enter the false groom would enter for intimacy bringing death to his bride. *If you are bald, it means you have no hair. Hair: Strongs #8181 sear hair; cognate of #8179 shaar gate He removes the covering (of blood) from his gate! It opens him up to the seed of the serpent, which he now foments in the camp. The same letters that spell gate & hair, rearranged form Strongs #6210 eres a couch, bed; hes now one who brings perversion to the bedchamber because he has opened his gateways! Numbers 19:13 Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of Yahweh He does the exact opposite of what Proverbs 20:3 says It is an honor (kabod) for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.

Meddling: Strongs #1566 gala to expose, lay bare (just as Korah has done with his head hes exposed himself, removed his covering). What is being placed before us is an elaborate shadow picture of the seed of the serpent/Korah (shadow picture of the antimessiah) and how he treats his followers (bride) compared to how the Messiah will treat His! The exposed one/bald one will cause his brides belly to drink of the bitter waters! Lets see if this is what takes place! Korah has 250 that rise up with him (took men vs. 1), referred to as men of renown (vs. 2). Took: Strongs #3947 laqach to take, get, fetch, to take in marriage, to take a wife Men of renown anoshi-shem -gematria = 701; same as the plural of ishah wife/woman they become the harlot bride of the serpent! In fact the phrase men of renown is also used to describe the individuals that were the serpents seed in Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown. These individuals are the ones who take their censers Numbers 16:17 Censer: Strongs #4289 machtah fire holder, censer, firepan, tray; from #4288 mechittah destruction, ruin, terror, breaking The wife of the counterfeit (Korah) who accepts his seed/seed of the serpent takes and brings upon herself destruction ruin and terror! That word starts with the prefix = womb! Within her womb is destruction and ruin. For those that guard their womb however, and are taken as the Bride of the Messiah (Aaron & Moses), He causes the plague to be stayed. Numbers 16:47-48 Stayed: Strongs #6113 atsar to restrain, retain, close up, shut up, withhold *1st reference is Genesis 16:2 referring to the womb of Sarah that was restrained from bearing. The womb of the true bride is restrained from bearing, shut from accepting the seed that brings chaos and destruction! The womb of Sarah opens only for Isaac son of the

Covenant! This is important because Korah is the son of Izhar (16:1). Izhar: Strongs #3324 Yitshar shining oil Compound word: 2 = letter root of the name Issac ( the end of Isaacs name is the 2 letter root of the word chaqar meaning to search out, in other words Isaac in a shadow picture of Messiah is the one found when we search out the Word!) = har, mountain Isaac was offered up on the mountain in a shadow picture of Messiah; yet here we see the seed of the serpent (Korah) the false shining one, attempting to place himself on the mountain, place himself within the glory of Yahweh, and place himself in the womb of the true Bride! Isaiah 14:13, 14 I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Like: Strongs #1819 damah to be like, resemble = blood & = to be fruitful and conceive; he attempts to pass himself off as the blood covering on the door (loins) that will cause you to conceive and be fruitful. But his seed brings death, not life! The term damah is closely related to #1820 damah to cease, to cut off, destroy or perish (same word used in Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed/damah for lack of knowledge, because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee) *If we have not spent the time searching the Torah for the glory of Yaweh, well find ourselves susceptible to the counterfeit, and the lack of knowledge will cause us to be destroyed and rejected! Earlier we saw how the Glory of Yahweh is hidden within His Torah & His Hebrew language. Matter: Strongs #1697 dabar speech, word, speaking, thing, WORD *1st reference is Gen 11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech/dabar. Genesis 11:6 When the people were of one language (Hebrew) there was something so significant that Yahweh had to intervene when it fell into the wrong hands! Restrained: Strongs #1219 batsar to gather, restrain, fence, fortify, make inaccessible, enclose *The fence that protects the glory of Yahweh, causing a divide between holy and profane would not restrain them as long as they had access to this language! So He confounds the language, but entrusts the line of Shem to preserve it.

The word batsar has the same 2 letter root as atsar #6113) ) describing Sarahs womb being shut! The Bride is barren/has a shut womb as long as she is separated from this language! But when she is restored to it, nothing is restrained from her Her womb is opened!! Genesis 11:8 and they left off to build the city Left off: Strongs #2308 chadal to stop, cease, desist, cease to be, leave undone *Same term used in Gen. 18:11 and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of some women Once again emphasizing without the language, no seed can be brought to fruition! Now we can understand the significance of the power of the language and why the serpent via Korah wanted to usurp this. It is the doorway to the Glory of YHVH and what will cause the womb to open, therefore allowing his seed to enter! Zephaniah 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent. *Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of YHVH shall be delivered Delivered: Strongs #4422 malat to slip away, escape, deliver, save; one time it is used with the meaning to give birth!

Chukat
The parshah Chukat picks up in Numbers 19:1-22:1 with the ritual of the Red Heifer sacrifice. It is a sacrifice that cannot be properly understood outside of Messiah! One who is without blemish is sacrificed outside of the camp in order to give waters that cleanse those in contact with death. It gives us a clear picture of 2 types of water bitter waters (Numbers 5, those that Korah offer) and the water of separation (Numbers 19, made from the ashes of the Red Heifer). Red Heifer parah adumah gematria = 335, same as Har Cinai/Mount Sinai. Directly on the heels of a counterfeit masquerading as the one on the mountain (Korah son of Izhar), Yahweh shows whose rightful place it is the one who will fulfill this ordinance! Numbers 19:2 Ordinance: Strongs #2708 chuqqah statute, ordinance, limit, enactment, something prescribed, a specific boundary set for you Word Picture: The fenced off, protected place (Chet) at the end (Qohf) will be found within the revelation/breath/light/Word of Yahweh (Hey) The numerical value of this word also enhances this picture: 8 (Chet) + 100 5

(Qohf) + 5 (Hey) = 113, 113 is the numerical value of the Hebrew word for marriage and also for a shelter/refuge. But 113 is also the number of names listed in Ezra 10 concerning the men who took strange wives and must repent and put them away! It is a foreshadowing of the end days when the true Bride who has entered the marriage contract finds a refuge/shelter within the Word of her Groom, but the strange bride is put away entering into a famine of the Word! These waters were to be sprinkled: Strongs #2236 zaraq to scatter, sprinkle, toss, throw; same term used in Exodus 24:8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled [it] on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh hath made with you concerning all these words. *This takes place at the mountain after receiving their ketubah, the blood is then sprinkled upon the people the blood is applied to their doorways marking them as part of the house the Messiah enters just like in Egypt! The waters of separation become the same shadow picture, the absence of this water shows you as one uncovered like Korah. Numbers 20:1 this is why Miriam dies within this parshah; Miriam = bitter waters, representing one who rejects the cleansing waters of separation offered to her by the parah adumah and instead brings upon herself the bitter waters having refused to separate herself from the counterfeit and seek the Glory of Yah in His Word that is her refuge! 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Rightly Dividing: Strongs #3718 orthotomeo to cut straight; from the base word oros a mountain *This will be the only way to tell who youve just met with on the mountain!
