A March of Unity The 1st ever Southern Tagalog University PRIDE March will be attended by organizations and individuals

from communities and schools in ST, Metro Manila and other regions. Personalities who shall attend the event include:
Rev. Ceejay Agbayani of Metropolitan Community Church - QC, Oscar Atadero and Goya Candelario of PROGAY, Rep. Teddy Casino of BayanMuna Partylist, Hon. Angelica Jones Alarva, CALABARZON President of National Movement of Young Legislators John Paulo Bautista of KABATAAN Partylist Southern Tagalog, and Bhen Aguihon of the Calamba 7/ UPLB5, among others.

Participating organizations/ institutions include:


PROGAY, BayanMuna Partylist, KABATAAN Partylist, GABRIELA, Metropolitan Community Church, UPLB University Student Council, Samahan ng Kabataan para sa Bayan, LADLAD, and Task Force PRIDE, among others.

Gay and straight alike, we are united in the stand that Human Rights should be enjoyed regardless of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI). We are also united in celebrating our collective struggle and solidarity for SHAMELESS, FEARLESS EQUALITY. A March of Celebration The colorful parade will be a show of support for HB 1483 and 4635 sponsored by Rep. Teddy Casino of BayanMuna Partylist, and HR 1333, sponsored by Rep. Mong Palatino of KABATAAN Partylist. To manifest this support, the march will showcase facepainting and handprinting for LGBT rights, manifesto signing and cultural/artistic performances from different organizations/alliances. A post party will be held in LWATA 1. The march will begin with the unfolding of Oblations wings to represent the oblation as the vanguard of freedom and human rights. It will also be highlighted by a candlelighting ceremony for victims of LGBT killings and other hate crimes, and of HIV/ AIDS victims. A March of Action During the program, UPLB Babaylan will publicly announce its pledge to organize LGBT in communities, and its resolve to lead in establishing the ST Progay Regional Network, while it continues to serve as a support and research group for LGBT and education campaigner in the UPLB campus. The first Southern Tagalog University PRIDE March is but a step in our journey. In the near future, UPLB Babaylan will hold exhibits, gender sensitivity workshops, education discussions, and the like. It is high time that we unite to fight ignorance. Let us show the world that the stilettos we wear, fabulous as they are, can be weapons of change for the advancement of human rights.
