Universal Detection Technology (UDT or the Company) is a supplier of equipment and systems for detection of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) threats. Among others the Company supplies its CBRN detection systems to government agencies, defense contractors, and commercial entities. UDT also offers counter-terrorism training programs that educate first responders and emergency personnel on most effective CBRN detection technologies and their use. The Company offers a range of bio-weapons detection tools, which includes its TS-10-5, Five Agent BioWarfare Threat Detection Kit, a device that can detect the presence of five lethal biological agents in one test and in less than three minutes. Universal Detection Technology also offers detection solutions for chemical and radiological threats. The Company is a supplier of a wide variety of radiation detection equipment ranging from high technology survey meters to personal dosimeters.

What is CBRN?
CBRN is an acronym for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear. Also referred to as Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), weaponized CBRN agents can be used by terrorist organizations to cause mass casualties. CBRN incidents are often deliberate and are intended to cause widespread hysteria and destruction. The threat of CBRN related attacks is a growing concern among homeland security professionals, as Al Quaeda and other terrorist groups have expressed a serious interest in using CBRN weapons. According to recent analysis, worldwide government spending on CBRN defense products and services will reach $8.38 billion in 2011.
