MAJOR CRIMES: ARRESTS: OTHER INFORMATION: 110702-1740-01 Larceny 9743 Sam Furr Road Two juvenile females were charged on citation for larceny at Kohls Department store, after store security detained them. 110702-1858-01 Direct/Monitor Traffic 11899 Beatties Ford Road Officers responded to a call of subjects driving left of center to bypass heavy stationary traffic on Beatties Ford road and Neck Road. Initial Officers responded and noticed the traffic was bumper to bumper from the Soul Food Festival at Rural Hill (down Neck Road and Beatties Ford Road) to a point approximately two miles past Mt Holly Huntersville Road. At 2118 hours, officers were able to convince the organizers to limit access to those whom already purchased a ticket for the event. I also warned the event organizer (Pat) that he would need to monitor the music level as we had already received a complaint about the noise. Officers began to shut down the event and turn those without a ticket away. Traffic coming to the event cleared out at 2239 hours. 110702-1904-01 Other 102 Gilead Road Complainants advised they are having problems with their 17 year old daughter who is smoking marijuana and drinking. They have an appointment with a counselor next Thursday but feel it is to the point they cannot wait because their daughter is out of control. They were given the number for Mobile Crisis Team and explained the benefits of contacting the group. 110702-1934-01 Other 303 Sherwood Drive Complainant advised an acquaintance tried to hit him with a vehicle. It was later determined the incident occurred in another jurisdiction. The complainant was advised to contact the other agency to file a report. 110702-1933-01 Other 10605 Huntersville Commons Drive Complainant advised she had an argument earlier with her daughter who suffers from a mental condition. The Mobile Crisis Team was contacted to help the mother with a commitment order. 110702-2015-01 Noise Complaint 9499 Twin Trail Drive Complainant advised loud music was coming from a vehicle. Officers were unable to locate same.

TO: 0600 Hours

110702-2110-01 Other 16617 Statesville Road Complainant called 911 several times reference a case in which DSS had custody of a child in Charlotte. Officers warned the subject to discontinue calling 911. 110702-2136-01 Other 9743 Sam Furr Road Complainant advised of a domestic dispute, taking place at this location. Officers determined the dispute was taking place over the phone and the female subject was not with the male subject at any time. 110702-2215-01 Collision 4431 Neck Road Officers responded to a collision on Neck Road. The driver who was late for the event at Rural Hill was warned earlier about driving left of center. Once he was out of sight of the officers directing traffic he drove left of center again and struck mirrors with another vehicle. The driver was charged for safe movement and NOL. 110702-2235-01 Welfare Check 10601 Huntersville Commons Drive Complainant requested officer to check on an elderly relative whom they had not had contact with for some time. The subject was located and appeared to be in good health. He stated he would call the complainant back. 110702-2231-01 Intoxicated Persons 9526 Birkdale Crossing Two subjects were asked to leave Hickory Tavern after one of them made several derogatory remarks to other customers. Officers spoke to the subjects who complied with our requests to calm down. They provided an address of a friends home north of Davidson and were transported there for the night. 110702-2320-01 Noise Complaint 12935 Allison Ferry Road Officers received a second complaint reference the noise from the Soul Food Festival at Rural Hill. The event had concluded and the noise stopped prior to officers arrival. 110702-2332-01 Intoxicated Person 300 Hunters Road Complainant advised of a juvenile passed out by the management office. Due to the condition of the subject Medic was called as well as the subjects parents. The juvenile was released to the parents with the understanding that officer would follow up tomorrow in an attempt to ascertain who provided the alcohol to the subject. The parents agreed. 110703-0002-01 Other 7416 Darblay Street Subject (who suffers from a mental disorder) at this address advised he was upset because his brother promised to spend time with him today and did not show up. The officer spoke with the complainant and advised him not to call 911 for anything tonight other than an emergency. After several minutes the subject agreed to go inside to bed. 110703-0113-01 Breaking and Entering 9815-H Sam Furr Road Officers responded to an alarm call at VH Nails. Upon arrival, officers found the front door unlocked and the interior completely vandalized. The subject left the scene through the rear door. Officers cleared the building and the owner responded. 110703-0224-01 Assist Fire and Medic 9319 Ithaca Lane Officers responded to a possible overdose on medication. The female subject was alert and was transported by Medic to the hospital. 110703-0318-01 Involuntary Commitment 10605 Huntersville Commons Drive

Officers responded to the magistrates office to pick up and attempt to serve commitment orders. Offices were unable to make contact with the subject listed on the orders.

Officers responded to the following: 11 noise complainants in reference to Fireworks 8 noise complaints in reference to loud parties 5 suspicious activity or vehicle calls 3 carless and reckless driver calls and Stopped 11 vehicles for driving left of center in reference to the Soul Food Festival on Rural Hill.
