Customer: Could I have two hundreds, two fifties, and the rest in twenties. Teller: Here you are. I need you to endorse the back of the check you want to cash and Ill need to see an ID. DATA ANALYSIS 1. The Forms of Register. a. Word 1) Simple Word Simple word is a word that consist of single morpheme. The example of simple word describes as follows: a) Transfer

2. Kinds of meaning a.. The real meaning is identical with the register meaning

The register meaning of the term transfer is the same as the real meaning. 3) Normal transfer Would you like the normal transfer The term Normal transfer consists of two words Normal andtransfer in which each has own meaning. The lexical meaning of each word is: Normal : typical, usual or exxpected (Hornby, 1995: 798). transfer: the action of trasfering something (Hornby, 1995: 1270) The register meaning is not so far different with the lexical meaning in which it refers to a general or usual way of people who do transfer something. 4) Amount Yes, you can transfer that amount The lexical meaning of amount is a some of money (Hornby, 1995: 37) The register meaning of the term amount is the same as the real meaning. 5) Withdrawal No, thats for withdrawal. The lexical meaning of withdrawal is the action of withdrawing something or being withdrawn.(Hornby, 1995: 1371) The register meaning of the term amount is the same as the real meaning. b. The real meaning is different from the register meaning 1) Check Yes, Id like to make a withdrawal from my saving account and cash a check The lexical meaning of term check is to examine something in order to make sure that it is corret. Meanwhile, in banking language, check means cheque.The register meaning is different from the real meaning

D. CONCLUSION Based on the data analysis , the writer can draw some conclusions as follows: 1. Based on the form of the register, the writer finds two forms i.e word and phrase. And the word are in the form: the simple word,compound word, phrase ( Noun phrase and adjective phrase )and abbreviation. The biggest number of term is compound word. It means that the banker often use compound word in their speech. It happens since the compound words are usually ambiguous and tends to have different meaning. 2 Related to the meaning of the register, the writer finds two kinds of meaning, i.e. the register meaning is identical with the real meaning, and the register meaning is

different from the real meaning. The most of the register meaning is identically from the real meaning. It means that the register in Indonesian banking has its own meaning and tends to occur semantic change. It may happen because the banking do semantic monopoly, the banker have authority to give meaning of the register.
