In the recent Agency Awards, we watched as our Champions took to the stage to accept their prizes and trophies; firmly establishing the truth behind the maxim: Follow your dreams, and Transform your life. One can see that there is a great understanding amongst our Champions that in order to be able to lead a fulfilled life with complete financial freedom, one must dream of it. Remember that it is the power of that dream that drives you towards greatness. All we have to do is focus on making this dream come true. Last year, LIAM reported that new business submissions for Investment-Linked plans in Malaysia were increasing. With an increase of 26.6% from $2.07 Billion to $2.62 billion in 2009, public demand for Investment-Linked Plans is encouraging. As MAA consultants, you must take note of current trends and watch out for for opportunities to sell more of our investment-linked policies. At MAA we have very comprehensive and a t t r a c t i v e I n v e s t ment-Linked products under the MaaxLife series. MaaxCombo is a comprehensive MaaxLife proposed plan with Medical Card rider designed to capture the younger generation. In fact, the younger generation (0-40 years old) represents 72% of the total population of Malaysia therefore MaaxLife should be selling briskly. MaaxInvest on the other hand, can offer financial protection to those who are looking at a greater retirement plan. MaaxInvest offers great investment ideas for wealth accumulation. MaaxInvest focuses on the investment objectives of the prospects with regular investments using the MaaxSaver rider and the Waiver of Premium on Dread Disease. Kini anda boleh memperolehi jam CPD anda dan menumpukan usaha pembelajaran melalui e-Learning di ketika yang memudahkan anda, pada masa dan bahasa pilihan anda. Sesungguhnya MAA amat mementingkan latihan anda dan sentiasa berusaha untuk melahirkan inisiatif yang bijak serta proses teknologi yang canggih bagi anda memperbaiki prestasi anda. Semarakkan cita-cita anda dengan keinginan anda yang membara untuk mencapai impian anda. Ingat bahawa ganjaran usaha kita bukan terletak pada apa yang kita perolehi, ia terletak pada bagaimana ia membentuk diri kita. Kita semua tahu apa yang kita mahukan, iaitu menjadikan MAA nombor 1! MAA recently celebrated the 2010 Agency Awards and hosted the 2011 National Sales Congress at the Genting International Convention Centre (GICC) from April 27th 29th. Like the year before, these exciting annual events have merged and have gotten bigger and better. The 2010 Agency Awards dinner was held on the night of 27th April. It brought together more than 1,300 Consultants and Agency Leaders from all over Malaysia and Indonesia. The event theme reflected the wonderful destination for MAA Assurances 29th Summit Club Convention challenge Rome, Italy and MAA Takafuls 3rd Summit Club Convention 2011 - Los Angeles, California. The night began with Tan Sri Ahmad Don addressing the audience with a rousing welcome speech. Tan Sri congratulated all the outstanding Champions in his address when he noted that MAA is always committed to excellence and quality. This explains our emphasis on professionalism and integrity amongst our Consultants.

This year we celebrated with two Top of the Table (TOT) champions, Mohd Hamzavi and Chairul Izwan. We also saw an unprecedented 9 Court of the Table (COT) champions receiving their trophies. Our proud COTS are K. Narayanasamy, Murphy Ooi, Fauziah Mohd Amin, Liew Kim Tchiu, Catherine Chan, A. Surianaidu, Noriah Mohd Salleh, V. Muniandy and Yanti Zuria. Along with the Champions, there were 169 other award winners.
Energetic & colourful performances by GLITZ GLITZ

Guests were entertained with exciting dance performances by Resort World Gentings resident show, Glitz and were treated with a very engaging and delightfully muhibbah act, Helmi-the-Gimmick. The next morning, consultants greeted the day with anticipation of the launch of the National Sales Congress 2011, themed Transform into Peak Performance. The Congress saw more than 1300 participants. En. Umar Swift greeted the Congress attendees with a boisterous welcome and invited Y.M. Tunku Yaacob to address the Congress. In his speech, Tunku Yaacob reminded consultants of the comradeship of the Spirit of MAA or Espirit De MAA and reiterated that in order for consultants to succeed, they must THINK BIG. Shortly thereafter, all those present at the launch stood up to repeat the Pledge of Conduct with MDRT winner, CC Lee Kian Boon. Tan Sri Ahmad Don then presented mementos to the 9 speakers who came from UK, Malaysia, Singapore, India and Taiwan. Following the presentation, Tunku Yaacob and En. Umar Swift joined Tan Sri Ahmad Don on stage to officiate the launch of MyPolicy@ MAA, MAAs Customer Service website and the flexible, convenient, hassle-free e-Learning portal on CMSS.

After two days of inspirational talks, the Congress closed to a colourful flag bearing finale. Addressing the Congress at the closing ceremony, En. Salim Majid proudly listed MAA achievements thus far and encouraged Consultants to stay focused and continue to project positive vibrations. He reminded consultants that, Whilst our achievements today are truly spectacular, we must not rest on our success as we have a long journey ahead of us in terms of establishing our company as a company of choice amongst Malaysians.

Liver Foods That Make Your Liver Stronger And Useful
Most people dont think about which foods are good for keeping their liver strong. But, if you have discovered and uses a diet that is good for your overall health, then, most likely you are helping your liver. So here again is a list of healthy eating that will result in a strong useful liver.

Accident & Health

Oils - use mostly olive oil for your food preparation. This oil can be heated to a
relative medium level without causing free radicals. Use flax seed oil or fish oil every day. Avoid margarine or any other artificial butter since their processing creates chemicals the liver cannot recognize as food. Use Ghee, which doesnt require refrigeration or raw butter. Sunflower, safflower and other seed oils should be kept in the refrigerator to keep them from becoming rancid. When you eat too much fat, the fat accumulates in the liver. The liver is responsible for breaking down the fat and using it for energy. Accumulated fat in the liver can become rancid producing free radicals that will damage liver cells.

Food - try to buy and eat good organic food. Food that has been sprayed with pesticides is difficult to clean and these
chemicals will get into your body as free radicals.

Protein - Cut down on the amount of protein that you eat. Most of us only need about 2-3 ounces of protein, but if you
do physical labor you need plenty more. The problem with more is some of this protein may not completely digest in our stomach and move into the colon. There this undigested protein is decomposed by bad bacteria creating toxic matter. These toxins can be absorbed into the blood and cause the liver extra work in detoxifying them.

Sulfur Foods - Since the liver produces enzymes which are used in every body chemical reaction, you can support this activity by eating foods such as Brussels sprouts, broccoli cabbage, seeds and nuts. Vitamins - minerals - nutrients - The liver, just like all parts of the body, needs vitamins and minerals. Get these from fruits and vegetables or even fruit and vegetable juices. Ionic minerals are easily absorbed dan can be purchased in bottles. These ionic minerals can then be easily added to your juices without adding any unusual taste. Sugar - Limit, reduce or eliminate the use of sugar since it interferes with enzyme
activity throughout your body. Use fruits, whole grains, barley malt, rice syrup, dates, dried fruit and honey.

Lecithin - use lecithin every day for the Phosphatidyl Choline (PC) it provides. PC helps build the liver cell membranes
creating a healthier liver. Use lecithin in granules by adding them to salads and other liquid food preparations including smoothies. There you have it, a small list of foods to eat to help your liver give you long life. Most likely you are already eating some of these foods and if so, then, it will be easy to add just one more good healthy eating habit.
