Get ready to take The New Testament Challenge on July 17th. Can you read the entire New Testament in 90 days (12 minutes a day!) while Pastor Steve preaches a sermon on every book of the New Testament? Enjoy free resources along the way book outlines, an MP3 Audio Bible, Covenant Seminarys New Testament Survey Class, J.Gresham Machens A Brief Bible History, and more! You just might grow more in 3 months than you have in the past 3 years because Gods word, combined with faithful action, will transform any life! Pastor Steve Away on Missions Trip This Friday, Pastor Steve will join Cedar Youth on their Mission Trip to Navajo Ministries in Farmington, NM. On Sunday, July 24, please welcome Rev. Ken Smith of the Biblical Counseling Center. On Sunday, July 31, we welcome a good friend and fellow buckeye of Pastor Steve -Pastor Doug Wood of Grace Bible Church in Grandville, MI. Both preachers will participate in the New Testament Challenge sermon series! Sunday School Reminder There will be no classes during the month of August. Autumn quarter will begin Sunday, September 11th.

ANNOUNCEMENTS August Fellowship Month Since we have no Sunday School in August, Cedar Session would like to encourage the entire congregation to participate in various fellowship activities throughout the month: a. Take advantage of the extra mixer time to socialize during our Sunday morning coffee and refreshments. b. Invite a few people to join you for Sunday lunch for extended fellowship and relationship building time together. c. Not just Sundays! Take an opportunity to eat or recreate with some church friends during the week at this beautiful time of the year. August Fellowship Meal with the Post Family On Sunday, August 14th, Cedar Church will host a special fellowship luncheon immediately after morning worship (11 AM-ish) to welcome Pastor Chris & Corrie Post & family who will be visiting West Michigan that week. On Sunday, August 21st, Pastor Chris will preach in the morning service and Pastor Mick in the evening service while Pastor Steve & family take Jonathan to Covenant College at Lookout Mountain, GA. Reception of New Members Cedar session is pleased to announce that we will receive Craig & Jennifer Coleman & family into church membership on Sunday morning, August 14th, by letter of standing from Hudsonville PRC. Additionally, we will receive Caryn Baker as a communicant member of Cedar Church by profession of faith that same Sunday evening! Soli Deo Gloria. Church Booth @ Hudsonville Community Fair Mark your calendars for August 22-27. Cedar Church will be hosting a booth at the fair again this year and we will need volunteers. ANNOUNCEMENTS Are you a jogger/runner interested in ministry? Do you want to make a significant positive impact in the lives of inner-city kids? If so, NO SURRENDER Running Club could use your help! NSRC is a ministry run by Solomon's Porch Church that works with kids who live in Grand Rapids to "Inspire greatness in inner-city youth one step at a time.". We use running as a tool to teach kids who face tremendous obstacles in their life that they have the power within themselves to achieve great things. Runners at any level can be involved. Home Unity Build - Lakeshore Habitat, in collaboration with Love INC, is organizing a Home Unity Build in the Hudsonville/Jenison area to provide a home for a deserving and qualified family of five. Habitat has grant resources available that will provide up to $14,000 to defray the project costs for land acquisition or infrastructure costs. A home property site or house suitable for restoration in the Hudsonville or Jenison area is desired. If you need any assistance, please ask one of our greeters for help. SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE Cedar Church strives to enjoy God through Spirit-empowered and Christ-centered worship. The Bible is sincerely loved, and we hope that you will find it opened up to you in a fresh and faithful manner each Sunday. A NURSERY is available near the entrance of the gymnasium, but children are always welcome in the worship service. COFFEE BREAK After the morning worship, please join us in the foyer for coffee and refreshments. KIDS BREAK After morning worship, all kids (pre-school thru 6th grade) are invited to remain in the gymnasium for snacks and fun songs with Mr. & Mrs. Himebook. SUNDAY SCHOOL - From 11 AM-12 PM, Cedar Church offers classes for all ages. Visitors are especially welcome to join us!
