WHAT IS GOSPEL? HOW SHOULD WE PREACH IT?

We find different definitions given to the word Gospel. Some say it is the good news. But what exactly does it mean according to the Bible? What explanation is given by Bible to it? The answer is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-3 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you- unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. So we understand that Christ died for us and rose again on the third day and this is what the gospel is! Very few know that the burden of spreading the gospel is laid on all those who received Baptism. They think that it is enough if they go to church regularly, sing four songs, pray and give offering to God. They think they are doing a lot by doing so and are least bothered in spreading the good news. But that is not gospel. 1 Peter 2:9 says, But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called (baptism is the calling) you out of darkness into His marvelous light. So, all those who have taken baptism should preach about Christ. Most of them do not know this truth and are still following the Old Testament. They still believe that only the priests or the anointed have this right and it is enough for them if they followed the Ten Commandments. They do not accept the fact that it is God Himself who changed this and asked all those baptized to spread the good news. Luke 9:23 says, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. It is not enough if you go to church only on Sundays and sit under the fans in all comfort and think you are carrying your cross. If you try to understand the words of Jesus properly, it tells you to be in His work every day sharing the good news with all those who are ignorant about it. Mark 16:15 says, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Do not think that these words were said by Jesus only to His disciples and it was only their work to preach the gospel. It is applicable even to us. When Jesus said Go into all the world is it proper to confine ourselves to the four walls of the church for years and think that this is the world? Are we doing what He said? The only work which He asked us to do is preaching the gospel. Philippians 1:24 says, Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. Paul said he was alive for them; to preach the gospel to them. When Paul said he lived only to preach the gospel, what are we living for? Is it for anyone or our family? Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:2 - Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. And he also said that he would be in trouble if he did not preach the gospel. All of us who were born into this world have the burden of preaching the gospel. So, be faithful in the work of God till the end of your life and have the privilege of being called by Him, My faithful servant. Do not forget that it is your duty to bring as many souls as you can to God. ---
