St. Luke writes: there is no one found to return and give glory to God. (St.

Luke 17:18) This is the time when we are living. We are living in the time of ingratitude. Look at the spiritual state of the Church before the depressive fall in 1958. Both the clerics and laity alike, according to the writings of sister faustina, were crucifying Our Lord. Age did not matter. Both young and old were guilty. The love of the world is the sole reason why Jesus gets crucified. Those who love the spirit of the world are not in the state of grace. St. John writes: Love not the world, nor the things which are in the world. If any man love the world, the charity of the Father is not in him.1 How then do we hate the world? Hatred of the world begins with love. Only love converts souls to the Catholic faith. If we are hated by whole world, our love for God softens the bitterness of the poison of ingratitude. The greater love we have for God sheds away the valley of tears in which we live in. Earth is replaced with Heaven. This is how the saints lived. This life was no valley of tears for them. They had Heaven on Earth. They possessed God and communed with Him intimately. And the world hated them for it. For the world knew, by their very actions, they never wanted to possess God nor ever will. For ingratitude is a sign of resisting the Holy Ghost and His desire to sanctify your soul. Jesus repays those ungrateful souls by saying: I pray not for the world. (John 17:9) St. Luke quotes Our Lord: were not ten made clean, where are the nine? (St. Luke 17:17) One in ten are grateful to God. It is then, mathematically speaking, that these ten percent represent the saints. If ten percent were the grateful ones, let us be in that number. No one enters Heaven without the virtue of gratitude. Then let us begin this spiritual revolution of gratefulness to God. I am thanking all of you for electing a Pope. In addition, I have made spiritual bouquets for everyone. For one prayer is of infinite value because each prayer is united to Christ. According to the Saints, an act of revenge is to do good to our enemies. This is how Our Lord persecuted the world when He was alive. Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword. (Matthew 10:34) If perfect hatred of the world makes us into Saints, how can I perfectly hate the world? By being grateful to God.
