Aspecte privind evoluția complexului acvatic Somova - Parcheș

Complexul acvatic Somova - Parcheș (CASP) face parte din zona inundabila a Dunării, care în
trecut avea o suprafata de cca. 900.000 ha ,din care lunca reprezinta 480.000 ha, iar delta cca.
420.000. Aceste regiuni inundabile au fost supuse ,in special in perioada anilor 1965-1978 unei
campanii de indiguire masiva care a afectat cca. 85% din lunca inundabila si aproape 25% din
delta. Situat intre localitățile Isaccea si Tulcea, complexul acvatic Somova - Parcheș , este una
din puținele zone care nu au fost îndiguite, astfel că și astăzi bălțile sunt supuse inundațiilor
anuale ale Dunării. În prezent, din totalul de cca. 9170 ha al luncii inundabile neamenajate,
dintre Isaccea şi Tulcea, 2020 ha (22,00 %) este reprezentat de suprafața de apă. Complexul
acvatic Somova – Parcheș este format din următoarele tipuri deecosisteme acvatice: lacuri, bălți,
mlaștini, canale naturale si antropice pentru alimentarea si evacuarea apei in Dunăre, cât si
pentru realizarea legăturii interioare intre bălți. Prin analiza comparativă a situației din prezent cu
datele istorice furnizate de hărțile si profilele longitudinale și transversale prin complexul
lacustru (Gr. Antipa, 1910) se evidențiază o fragmentare moderată a habitatelor acvatice insă o
aluvionare intensă a acestora, comparativ cu alte complexe din Delta Dunării.

Aspects regarding the evolution of the aquatic complex Somova – Parcheș

The Somova-Parcheș aquatic complex is part of the floodplain of the Danube River, which in the
past had an area ofapprox. 900,000 ha, of which the river meadow represents 480,000 ha and the
delta approx. 420,000. These flooded regions were subjected, especially during the years 1965-
1978, to a massive dam campaign that affected approx. 85% of the river meadow and almost
25% of the delta. Located between the localities of Isaccea and Tulcea, the aquatic complex
Somova - Parcheș, is one of the few areas that have not been dammed, so that even today these
shallow lakes are subject to annual floods of the Danube River. Today, out of a total of approx.
9170 ha of floodplain areas, between Isaccea and Tulcea, 2020 ha (22.00%) is represented by the
water surface. The Somova - Parcheș aquatic complex consists of the following types of aquatic
ecosystems: lakes, ponds, swamps, natural and anthropic canals for water supply and evacuation
in the Danube River, as well as for achieving the internal connection between ponds. The
comparative analysis of the current situation with the historical data provided by the maps and
longitudinal and transversal profiles through the Somova - Parcheș aquatic complex (Gr. Antipa,
1910) shows a moderate fragmentation of aquatic habitats but an intense alluvial of them,
compared to other complexes from the Danube Delta.
