A Clear Call to Commitment

Commitment: pledge, to pledge oneself to a position. 1. We have experienced things that have caused us to come to the place that we know that we are called. 2. Ps 145:1-10
Psalms 145:1-10 KJVR David's Psalm of praise. I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. (2) Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. (3) Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. (4) One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. (5) I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. (6) And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. (7) They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. (8) The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. (9) The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. (10) All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

3. We have been through a lot, but with the wrong attitude and thus we dont learn the right lesson from it. This in turn hinders who God is to us. 4. Our calling is given more clarity and deepens with our pursuit to find out who God is. 5. We have to define what it is that causes us to conclude that God is Great. 6. It was things in our environment and family that caused us to be who we are. 7. As Jeremiah, you didnt just wonder into a calling, God called you from the womb. 8. What you have been through was preparing you to minister to a generation that does not know God. Example: a. 13 year old mothers. b. Dont know God and cant give God. 9. We own the world who we say we are, we are the light. 10. Weather you think youre being heard are not, your light is being seen.

11. Your commitment to God cannot be just to preach a sermon. You have to be willing to take a stand in your home and community. 12. We will never be able to lead with a cloudy vision; cloudy by guilt, hurt, mad and angry. Your word is coming through a contaminated vessel. 13. To deny myself means to empty out myself (of 12) and allow the Word of God to come to me first. 14. As a pastor it is very important that you get a direct Word from God for the people of God. 15. We have to preach out of our experience of God. That is where the quickening power of God is manifest to change the lifes of the individuals that hear. 16. The real message will be the one that God gave you to get you out your own pit. 17. You have to separate our emotions from our own self. 18. We have to stop praying out of mind and not our hearts rehearsing what we are upset about. Praying amiss. 19. When youre preaching you have to know the difference between and your mind and your heart. When you don't you find yourself preaching out of anger and throwing hinds about people personal business that should never be told in a public setting. 20. God will send a word that will find you while you are preaching, and youll be preach and cry at the same time. That is when you know you are imparting life, when youre dying in your on delivery. 21. It is not your title, not about who you or they think you are it is who you are in the eyesight of God. Not know that God knows all about you and choice your anyway! 22. Peter denied Christ, yet when Christ told them to go get Peter and the rest of my brothering. He specifically calls for Peter because he knew the brothering would have left Peter because of his mistake. How many people had left our churches and Pastors really dont care? 23. When people hit rock bottom there is nowhere for them to come back to but up! 24. We have to know peoples hearts and stop judging them according to their emotions. 25. You didnt call yourself; your father called you and made a coat of many colors and placed it on you. 26. I am what I produce. The people that follow you are a product of your productivity. 27. The hardness that you went through was just on the job training.

28. Everyone that God has given to be part of your ministry God has already anointed them to enter your net. 29. Many people fault at ministry because they didnt not deal with themselves. 30. You cannot affect pastor a church running all over the country trying to make a dollar hustling the church. 31. A pastor needs to stay his tail at home and past their church. 32. The reason there is no power in the church is because we have fashioned our church after the worlds model. 33. When a person lives in their emotions they are useless in spiritual things. This is why we have alot of flesh in our pulpits, preachers that have never really dealt with themself. The church is build about the rock, you confession of faith; how stable are you? 34. We have to read the bible to live by and not just to get a sermon! 35. When we are not really clear in our commitment we miss a lot of things God has for us. 36. God is deeply personal and can only be worship and the most intensified personal level, our spirit to His. This is where we break the addition of self and learn to Worship God. 37. Homemade legalism, wear paints is sin, wearing jewelry is sin, and we are focusing on this why people are going to hell. 38. Bishop and Overseers, call your people together so they can know you and your heart. Write your vision then sit your sons and daughters down and speak to them on a continues bases. 39. The only way your sons and daughters can be greater than you is for them to know our heart and our vision.
