ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We owe a deep department of gratitude to Mr. ANIL SHARMA (Head of Training and Placement department) for giving us the opportunity to work on this training. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Mr. VINESH AGARWAL (H.O.D. Electrical department). Their valuable, gifted help & sympathy, keen interest, constant encouragement, unfailing source of inspiration & critical supervision during the entire course of this training. Without their help & guidance we would not have seen the light of the day. We also extend our thanks to Mr. C.P. JAIN & Mr. SHANKER GODHWAL (Lecturer, Electrical Department) for their valuable suggestion, constant support, encouragement & for critically evaluating the manuscript to give it the present shape. During the course of this scientific journey, we express our sincere thanks to Mr. R.A. GUPTA (Xen, 220 kv GSS) & Mr. VIVEK SHARMA (Jen, 220 kv GSS) for their generous permission to utilize the facilities of the GSS. They also provide us the necessary study material & helped us understand the practical aspects & problem of design despite of his preoccupation. Lastly very special thanks to our friends & all those who were engaged with this training record work indirectly & for the assistance given to us throughout the course of the training record.

PREFACE
Difference in the academic life and practical life is revealed when one enter the real life and competitive world of industries, where there is cut throat competition and one has to forcefully follow the theory of Charles Darwin Survival of Fittest. In order to exist in the competitive world one has to fully aware of all aspect of industrial life. To accomplish this aspect in our engineering curriculum of Rajasthan Technical University, provision of thirty days practical training program is provided. I have undergone my training in 220 KV GSS, Bhilwara from 16th of June to 16th of July. Succeeding chapters give details about what I have learnt in this organization.
