Conversation between Mike and the LORD Kindly bear with me, I hope I am not misusing the LORDs

name here, It is done with holy fervour-kindly do not misunderstand. The conversation below is exciting L: Hello. M: Oh.. Well hello. Im Mike. Glad to meet you. *hand shake* L: Greetings, Mike. My Name is Jesus. M: Jesus? Ah, Jesus! I know you! From the Bible, right? L: Yes, thats Me. Would you like to follow after Me for a while? M: Well, Id love to, Jesus But, see, 24 is on tonight, and if I miss even one episode, the show just wont make any sense! But dont worry, Im DEFINITELY one of your believers! L: Believers? Im not familiar with that phrase M: You know.. Your followers.. A Christian! L: Strange.. I would have guessed that My followers were those who follow Me. M: Well, yeah, if you take everything literally! But I know the Bible pretty well. You have to to be a believer, ya know? *nervous laugh* And its by grace through FAITH that Im saved, not of works. And I KNOW I have faith, Jesus. I mean, you should know that too, right? L: If you believe My Word, then why do you not follow Me? M: I told you, Id love to.. but L: *interrupting* but your TV show is a must-see. I know. M: Great. Im glad you understand. Ill talk to you later, ya know. When I pray for dinner! L: Actually, I dont know that I DO understand. Do you love Me? M: What kind of a silly question is that??! Of course I love you! All Christians love you! L: Then follow Me! M: Weve been through this twice now, Jesus. L: You love your TV and movie show more than Me. Is that not true?

M: Of course its not true! L: Actions speak louder than words, Mike. M: *a bit frustrated* Jesus, of course I love you more than ANYTHING. Id DIE for you! L: You would? But you wont follow me? I think youre deceiving yourself. Come, follow Me, and I will show you My Kingdom. M: Oh, I know your Kingdom. Its Heaven! Im already assured a spot there myself! But that time comes later after I die. Ill see you there, okay? L: Mike, do you not know that I am the Way? No man will enter My Kingdom unless he follows Me there. M: Jesus, weve been through this already, too! I DO believe in you. I have faith. Thats all I need to get into Heaven. L: You say youre familiar with the Bible? M: Of course. L: Well, remember what My brother James said? That faith without works is dead? M: Yeah.. That means that because Im a Christian, I should go to church and try to be happy about it. L: Not at all. It means that if your faith doesnt lead you to die daily, pick up your cross, and follow Me, then your faith is not really faith at all. M: Proposterous! I have faith, Jesus! I know I do, because I asked you into my heart years ago! L: Asked Me into your heart? What on earth does that mean? M: It means I gave over my will and decided to do what you want me to do! L: First, I never told ANYONE to ask me into his heart. Secondly, you demand that you wont follow Me, but now tell Me that years ago decided to do whatever I want you to do? Mike, youre not making any sense. M: Okay, Jesus, so Im not perfect. L: No, youre certainly not. But follow Me, and I will make you new, PERFECT; I will teach you how to live unto righteousness. I will forgive your sins and make you HOLY. M: You did that already, Jesus! *nervous laugh*

L: Obviously not. You say you love Me, but you will not follow. You say you believe, but you will not obey. Yet you expect that your sins are forgiven? M: Of course they are. John said If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. L: Im aware of what John said. He spoke truthfully of Me. Surely I will forgive those who confess their sins. But it is in following Me that you realize the latter part, WALK IN THE LIGHT AS I AM IN THE LIGHT Truly I will remove all sin from you, and train you in righteousness. M: I dunno It sounds like works to me! I know the Gospel that Heaven is available to everyone who believes. L: You think you believe, but you deceive yourself. If you believe, then forget about your TV show and come follow me! I will give you life everlasting. M: I already HAVE eternal life! L: Apart from me you are dead, Mike. M: *Mike staring off into space* L: Mike? M: Yeah, sorry See that guy over there? L: Dave? M: Yes, Dave. He is SUCH a jerk! L: Mike! What did I tell you about calling your neighbor a jerk? Do you know I made Dave in my image? M: He cut me off on my way to work.. I was SO mad, Jesus! Heh, I guess a few words slipped on that day L: Ill say they did. But remember that out of a mans heart come his words. M: Yeah.. anyway, hes always such a jer I mean, so mean to me! L: Mike, youve never even met him! Why dont you forgive him for cutting you off? That was over three years ago. M: I cant forgive him, Jesus! Ive tried; I just cant

L: Do you not know what I said of those who wont forgive? Truly, I tell you, if you do not forgive Dave, and anyone else, then my Father will by no means forgive you. M: Oh, come on, Lord! L: Why do you call Me Lord? You refuse to follow Me. You refuse to do as I say. You say you believe, but your heart is far from Me. M: *getting angry now* Jesus, maybe those silly legalists got to you. I KNOW I have faith! I KNOW Im going to Heaven someday. Youre way too caught up in works(youre legalistic) and proving my faith. Im saved by faith alone, works are not needed to take me to heaven; I will not DARE ADD TO THE FINISHED WORK OF YOUR CROSS. Ill show you someday, ill prove I am a Christian. Im going to go watch 24 now, speak to my girlfriend for a while, play some games, listen to some music and watch a good movie. You dont want me to enjoy! I enjoy your presence, dont I? The Apostle Paul told me not to be legalistic. I hope you get back to being the Jesus I know love and hope and GOOD NEWS. Why do you teach about love when you dont love me, a saved sinner? L: As I have been, so am I now, and so I will always be. Truly I tell you, turn from your wicked ways, forgive those who sin against you, let go of this world, come follow me, and I will certainly give you eternal life. I love you Mike and I do not want you to perish in your sins. M: Enough of your legalism! Even you cant cancel my salvation-ONCE SAVED, FOREVER SAVED-go back to your basics, Lord. Stop being harsh and cruel; faith alone is enough! My pastor taught me that believers cant go to hell and that there is no judgment at all-Ill be saved anyway, give me some money and make me rich-I am a king on this earth, your child-that is no small matter. L: Mike, dont lose your soul-take up your cross and follow Me! M: See ya, its late for my movie-Ill talk to you later.
