Last but not least, as highlighted in green on the front page of this newsletter, on Monday, 8 August, the FRO has scheduled another potluck meal, and on Friday, 19 August is a pool and pizza party just for our families. share how our religion or faith makes life better. Our Founding Fathers understood that religious freedom was a necessity for a free people, so they put it in the First Amendment. That ability to share your faith is a good thing. But remember to respect others and insure theyre ready to listen before sharing. That way you both can benefit from the wisdom of the Patriots who gave us our Constitution the guarantor of our freedom and liberty. Chaps

Ive Got a Secret

Chaplain Michael Tomlinson

During the 1950s, one of Americas favorite TV game shows was Ive Got a Secret. The premise was a shows guest had a secret, and celebrity panelists would try to guess the secret. In our age of high tech communications, keeping secrets is far harder than it was a generation or two ago. When traveling home for R & R, my flight stopped in Ireland. Since Id missed Rhondas birthday and our anniversary (both Ive missed many times since 2001), and our families are of Celtic descent, I decided to get her something Irish. There was jewelry store in the airport, so I purchased her a nice pair of earrings. I was delighted with my surprise. On my odyssey, I had to spend a night in Atlanta, so I called Rhonda to tell her I wouldnt be home til the next day. The first thing out of her mouth, Whatd you get me in Ireland. Before I got my brain in gear, I said, Howd you know I bought you something in Ireland? Then we were lost in laughter. Turns out that Lifelock had called to verify that the purchase was legitimate. Keeping secrets in our well connected world is hard, but there is one thing Americans have the right
