The Abortion rights fiasco! Some of my best friends are women. Although this is a variation on one of the world's oldest cliche's, it is also a very accurate statement in my case. In the social climate we live in today, where even the slightest criticism of anything 'feminine' is seen as "misogynist", "contributing to violence against women" or other such nonsense, some may perceive this article to be 'anti-woman'. I want to make it clear that gender antagonism is not my intent. This article is being written to explore an obvious discrepancy between the sexes and to propose what I feel is a solution that gives just consideration to both genders. We hear quite a bit of talk about a woman's "right to choose." Woe to the legislator, columnist, judge or social activist who suggests the minutest modification of abortion laws in any way, shape or form. "My body, my choice!", those of the feminist persuasion will cry. "If abortion is outlawed or restricted, we as a society will return to the dark days of back alley abortions! If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament!" All fine and good, however, where are the cries encouraging the preservation of a man's right to choose. Could it be that us chaps are not granted any reproductive rights to begin with ?? Consider these two hypothetical (yet very realistic) situations: Scenario #1. A woman wishes to abort her unborn baby/fetus. The man whose sperm incubated the woman wants to see the baby born. His wishes are irrelevant under the law, however, and his progeny is unceremoniously terminated as per his partner's wishes. As far as the courts are concerned, the woman is the sole conceiver of that fetus/baby. The man's role in the process is simply not acknowledged. Scenario #2. A pregnant woman delivers her baby on schedule. Her male partner is utterly unwilling and/or unable to assume the financial side of fatherhood. Various state, county, local and federal agencies will track and hound him nonetheless, going to such extremes as wage garnisheeing, property seizure, drivers license revocation, and even jail time. Contrary to our Scenario #1 example, the focus is 100% on the male. Now we have a situation where the female's role in the conception and birth is completely eclipsed. Even more incredibly, those who would ruthlessly defend a woman's right to have sex (safe or unsafe) and then choose to opt out of motherhood via abortion would offer a reluctant father this advice: "Next time, put a rain coat on or keep it in your pants, buster!" Can you imagine the outcry if any public figure was to tell a woman desiring an abortion, "Next time, remember to take that pill or keep your legs closed, baby!" ?? Clearly, we have a discrepancy that needs to be addressed. Unless extraordinary circumstances prevail (forced rape, drugging or a mistake at a sperm bank), the man and woman involved in a sexual relationship are each 50%

responsible for a pregnancy that may result. This is an obvious truth, as history has recorded no 'immaculate conceptions' in this millennium. We're merely stating this fact to set the tone for the rest of this piece. Since we all must agree that it does indeed "take two to tangle", it should follow that holding one partner entirely or primarily responsible for the results of their mutual action is unfair. One person simply cannot be allowed to retain all of the 'rights' while abdicating all responsibility. Abortion rights advocates holler incessantly about preserving a woman's rights to control her own body, yet, should that woman choose to keep the baby, there is no reason why an unwilling man should be forced to become a 'dad' to it. "But, he made that baby!", some readers may cry. No! They (the man and the woman) made that baby! When is the feminine responsibility (or lack thereof) taken into account ? Why should the man bear all of the 'blame' for the situation ? While absolving him of all responsibility for his actions would be unfair to the woman, dumping every bit of financial blame on him (as so often happens) is just as wrong. The following proposal has been carefully written to allow both partners an equal say and a fair shake when it comes to the reproductive dilemma.

This solution is actually quite simple, and while some will no doubt balk at it, claiming it would create an unfair situation for women, I am confident that open minded readers will find it difficult to fault. Let us assume a woman gets pregnant unexpectedly (a situation that occurs multiple times daily, as we all know). The man who is 50% responsible for this situation would be required to confer unto his female partner half of whatever an abortion costs in that particular area of the country and nothing more. This way, the woman is not forced to become a mother, nor is the man forced into involuntary (financially speaking) fatherhood. Likewise, the woman is free to give birth to the baby/ fetus if this is what she desires. Would this mean that she would, from that point on, be the sole supporter of the child ? Yes, but here again, carrying the pregnancy to term is her choice, so there is no reason why she should not be required to bear the burden for the choice (to keep the child) that she herself, and she alone, made. If the man in question demanded visitation rights or wished to in any other way become involved in his child's life, a judge could require him to sign a legally binding contract which would require him to pay 50% of the child's expenses (as determined by a state approved neutral auditor) for a set amount of years. If law makers were to amend current child

support laws along these lines, the world of motherhood, fatherhood and babyhood would be much happier for all concerned. ********************

After a lengthy search for Sidragrosm's original sigil (if indeed one ever existed), I came up empty handed. That being said, just as we all (humans, demons, devils and gods alike!) have names, it is only fitting that a demon should have his/her own sigil. The sigil was first sketched in the early part of December, 2010. The meaning of it is as follows:
