SAP IDoc Configuration Overview

The aim of the document is to provide instructions for configuring SAP IDoc Send Ports and Receive Locations. Send Port Configuration IDoc Send Ports can only be created as One-Way Send Ports. Select BizTalk Utilities Adapter for SAP IDoc Transport within the Transport Type drop-down list.

To configure specific properties for the Adapter, click on the ellipses ().

Specify the Size of Message Batches. A Value of 0 switches Batching off. Exception Handlers Here you can define standard exception handlers for the Adapter.

Pipeline Configuration Select BTSUtils.Pipelines.SAP.IDoc.Send for the Send Port.

The following properties can be configured: SAP Destination Here you select a SAP Destination as defined in the Administration Snap-In. SAP Destinations can also be created from this interface by selecting <New Destination>. Batch Size

Receive Location Configuration IDoc Receive Ports can only be created as One-Way Receive Ports. When creating the Receive Location for the Port, select BizTalk Utilities Adapter for SAP IDoc Transport within the Transport Type drop-down list.

The following properties can be configured: Program Id Specifies the Program Id as configured in the SAP RFC Destination.. Recycle Interval

You can optionally specify an interval at which the SAP Connection will be recycled. The Adapter will not be aware of the remote SAP system going down due to maintenance or environmental issues like loss of network connectivity etc. When you specify a recycle interval the Adapter will attempt to reconnect at the specified interval. SAP Destination Here you select a SAP Destination as defined in the Administration Snap-In. SAP Destinations can also be created from this interface by selecting <New Destination>. Server Instances Specifies how many SAP Server instances need to be started that will listen for inbound IDoc Messages. Archiving Specify options for archiving inbound IDoc Messages. Encoding Specify the encoding mechanism from which IDoc messages should be received.

Pipeline Configuration The default BizTalk Utilities IDoc receive pipeline has the necessary intelligence to identify any inbound EDI document. Select BTSUtils.Pipelines.SAP.IDoc.Receive for the Receive Location.

Using the BizTalk Utilities Adapter for SAP IDoc Disassembler Pipeline Component You can use the custom pipeline component within your own Pipelines. In order to use the component you will have to add a reference to the Pipeline Component Assembly from your Pipeline Toolbox.

You can specify the following properties for the Pipeline Component: Control Specifies if Control IDoc Records should be promoted as Context Properties within the IDoc Message.. Namespace Specifies the Namespace into which the Control Record Context Properties should be promoted.
