Hypertherm technology benefits

H ypertherm designs consumables for fast cutting speeds, longlife, and superior cut quality for high productivity and low operating costs.
Coaxial-assist jet Coaxial-assist jet boosts cutting speedsas much as 20% over conventional consumables designs. Vented shield is designed so the shield is electrically isolated from the nozzle to prevent arcing through the shield, enabling drag-cutting up to 100 amps for easy cutting. Conical Flow nozzle technology increases arc energy density for superior cut quality with little dross. Spiral groove electrodes provide optimal cooling, drawing the 3000 F heat away from the tip of the electrode. This slows electrode wear for longer electrode life. Conical Flow
Contact-start technology eliminates highfrequency interference that can damage nearby electronic equipment. SilverPlus is a proven technology that dramatically extends electrode life, significantly reducing operating cost. HyLife electrode extends consumable life and lowers operating cost.

Dielectric shield protects the nozzle from slag and double-arcing for improved nozzle life. The thin wall of the shield improves operator visibility for more precise cutting. FineCut consumables are optimized for highquality cuts on thin metal for a clean edge and narrow kerf. Chambered swirl ring gradually reduces gas pressure at the end of the cut to stabalize the halfnium insert prior to arc termination; this extends nozzle and electrode life.
Powermax systems feature a FastConnect torch for easily switching between handheld and mechanized cutting. Smart Sense technology automatically adjusts gas pressure according to cutting mode and torch lead length for optimum cutting. Spring Start electrode technology increases torch reliability by eliminating moving parts in the torch.
