It is a highly competitive business, dependent on many external factors over which a region or a destination has little or no control.

Tourism as an Economic ActivityTourism started as a social phenomenon, but within a short span of time, has grown into a significant economic activity. Of late, the social and economic consequences have raised various environmental issues affecting the ecology and the social impact of tourism on the host community. As an economic activity, tourism is a business both for the individual entrepreneur and the community. It is based on the interrelated system of demand and supply factors. On the demand side are the international, national and local markets. The supply side involves the tourism product consisting of attractions, accessibility, facilities and infrastructure. It is an industry with great reliance on attraction and amenities, along with dependence on the goodwill of the local community. Therefore, the distribution of economic benefits has to be more wide spread than in the case of the traditional industry.

The advertisement is built on a new concept that demonstrates all the places of Madhya Pradesh, India by just using a girls eyes and face. It replaces the much talked-about Hindustan Ka Dil Dekho campaign. The new advertisement has been positioned to capture people's imagination from religion, adventure to history that the state offers. This is depicted through a face and its expressions.

A new TVC for Madhya Pradesh Tourism has shadow artistes from Bengal bringing Madhya Pradesh Tourism alive through their campaign MP ajab hai, sabse gajab hai. The entire narrative of the commercial captures key landmarks of the state in a stark manner against a simple white screen to give it a distinctive and memorable look. This is the third campaign in the series of campaigns on MP tourism, and has an earthy jingle that weaves together the unique and surprising facts about Madhya Pradesh which could interest a tourist to come visit the state.

Incredible India is a very interesting campaign state by state or overall country. Many ad makers have presented romantic, mystical, fantastical travel stories in 60 seconds selling the dream that is India. In the latest that caught my eye was the tourism ad for Madhya Pradesh- the central most state of India. The song is this catchy, rustic playful piece sung by fantastic actor Raghuvir Yadav MP ajab hai. The piece has shadow puppets showing various things native to the state from its palaces to its forests.

AchievementsThe Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has found deficient planning of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Corporation (MPSTC), which had been awarded national level awards for best performance and planning by the Union tourism ministry recently. MP tourism officials received awards from the Union Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay in New Delhi.

The CAG, in its report, has observed due to deficient planning of the company, an expenditure of Rs 64 lakh, incurred on the construction of an unviable project, remained unfruitful. It has also pointed out that persistent failure of the company in maintaining desired level of power factor and non-reduction in the contract demand resulted in avoidable expenditure of Rs 13 lack.

Thus Government is heading towards a tourism which is Eco-adventurous.

Role of AdvertisementThere are some very spectacular advertisements for the promotion of central Indias tourism.All the advertisements contain new concepts which greatly attracts tourists. Advertisement is the best way to compel the tourist to visit Madhya Pradesh. Basically there are three advertisements on Madhya Pradesh tourism and all of them are unique in their own. The three advertisements contain all the tourism spots of Madhya Pradesh which are shown on TV in spectacular way. The main tourism places are Kanha-pench wild life, Gwalior , Panchmadi, Indore-Mandav, Bhopal-Sanchi, Kahjuraho Bhedhaghat, and many places for pilgrims. Some of the places are very good for corporeitys incentive tours for trade, Khajuraho and Gwalior are examples. Economically tourism is highly beneficial and continuously increasing the benefit and employment. The first advertisement on MP tourism was Bioscope which contained many attractions, watched by bioscope. This advertisement is very enthusiastic for tourism and gave Madhya Pradesh tourism a new identity. One more eye catching advertisement in which the two eyes has shown the entire journey of Madhya Pradesh with a song in background to narrate. The eyes reshape themselves according to the song and demonstrate various places through eyes only, as they shows wheels by pupils,

antelopes by eyebrows in shape of horns and many more. The Bioscope advertisement invites tourists and second advertisement contains a tale of their journey.

One more advertisement which demonstrates all the journey of tourist places very creatively by fingers. In this advertisement the different shapes emerged by the fingers shows the marks of to the different places. The fantastic 60 seconds catches eyes of all the viewers and help in realizing them the beauty of Madhya Pradesh. The concept of all the three advertisement is given by Ogilvy India.
