Release Notes 11.01

Long-time users of the wiTECH system will notice a new tab in the ECU View the next time they click on an ECU: ECU Details. Here you will find overview information as well as full ECU configuration details.

New Location For ECU Details

If you want to print out these details simply click the icon of the printer in the lower right corner. If you will be printing out details for more than one ECU, however, you may instead want to run the ECU Details Report and / or Configuration Report from the menu at Reports > Run/View Reports. The advantage of these reports is that they capture the information for the entire vehicle in one place.

Known Software Issues

On June 10th Adobe released an AIR 2.0 update that had an adverse impact on the wiTECH system, effectively preventing users from logging in to DealerCONNECT. While this issue has been corrected for release 11.01, users with versions 10.04 or earlier were advised to remove the update (see the knowledge base for complete details).

Freeze Frame and Event Data
When Freeze Frame is available for a DTC youll see it marked by an icon of a camera alongside the DTC code, status, and description; available Event Data is marked by an icon of a checkered flag. Access them by clicking the View Freeze Frame and View Event Data buttons. A window will open providing all the information and controls typical to reports, with the addition of one feature unique to Freeze Frame and Event Data reports: a Compare Side-by-Side control. This control will split the screen vertically so that you may view data from different Freeze Frame and Event Data types (e.g., CARB and Misfire for Freeze Frame) side-by-side. Tip: To save you time scrolling through a long list of DTCs to see if any are marked with an icon, the View Freeze Frame and View Event Data buttons are enabled only if data is available.
