CRISIS 2

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS AND PAPERS

COMMUNICATING CRISIS IN AN AGE OF COMPLEXITY OCTOBER 6 - 8 2011

FIRST CALL FOR ABSTRACTS AND PAPERS

The first international conference on Crisis Communication at the Beginning of the 21st Century took place at the University of Ilmenau, Germany, in 2009. The second international conference, organized by ASB Centre for Corporate Communication, Aarhus School of Business and Social Sciences, Aarhus University, Denmark, will take place on October 6-8, 2011. The theme of this conference is the complexity characterizing all types of organizational and societal crises, be they national or international; a complexity to which organizations and nation-states have to pay attention in their crisis management and crisis communication efforts. Thus, the challenge for both scholars and practitioners is to develop concepts, models, theories, and practical approaches where this complexity is reflected and integrated.
Plenary speakers Professor, PhD Priscilla Murphy, Department of Strategic and Organizational Communication, Temple University, co-author of Crisis Management in a Complex World (2008). Conference topics
