Los habitantes de Nnive eran muy malos y egostas.

Un da, Dios dijo a su profeta Jons que advirtiera a la gente de Nnive que dejara de ser tan aprovechada y egosta.
The people of Nineveh were selfish and mean. God told his prophet Jonah to warn them that they needed to stop being so mean and selfish.

Pero Jons, no queriendo hacer eso, desobedeci y trato de esconderse de Dios. Se embarc en un velero que estaba yendo a un lugar muy alejado de Nnive. El Seor no estaba feliz con Jons y mando una gran tempestad. Los marineros estaban aterrorizados!
But Jonah did not want to go to Nineveh, so he disobeyed and tried to run away from God. He got on a ship that was sailing far away from Nineveh.

God was not happy with Jonah and sent a big storm. The sailors were terrified!

Jons les dijo, Por mi causa ha venido esta gran tempestad sobre ustedes. Tmenme y lncenme al mar, y el mar se calmar.

Jonah told them, The storm is my fault. Throw me into the sea and the storm will stop.

Tomaron pues a Jons y lo lanzaron al mar. Inmediatamente el mar ces en su furia.

The sailors threw Jonah in the ocean and the storm immediately stopped!

Dios mando un gran pez para tragar a Jons.

God sent a big fish to swallow Jonah.

Jons se quedo en el pez por tres das. Jons or y pedio a Dios que le perdonara.
Jonah was in the fish for three days. He prayed and asked God to forgive him.

El Seor dio orden al pez, y ste escupi a Jons en tierra firme. Una vez mas, Dios le dijo a Jons que fuera a Nnive
God told the fish to spit Jonah out on dry land. Then God asked Jonah again to go to Nineveh.

Jons se levant y fue a Nnive. Los habitantes hicieron caso a Jons. Estaban arrepentidos por sus pecados y Dios les perdon.
Jonah went to Nineveh as God had asked him to. The people of Nineveh listened to Jonah. They were sorry for their sins and God forgave them.
