Oliver Twist was born in a work house. Oliver lived in an orphanage befor her mother died when he was born.The story wa s about his adventure. He cried all day and he did not sleep at night. One day, Mr. Bumble who was dir ector of the workhouse, gave Oliver to his friend Mr. Sowerberry who made coffin s. therefore Oliver escaped to London without any money. On his way, Oliver met a boy called Dodger .Dodger conducts he to Fagin who was the ringleader of an infamous gang of criminals and house's owner.One night, Oliver played a game with him and the other two boys. The rule of the game was to get the things from Fagin's pocket quietly ,an old man said that,Oliver then learns how to pick pockets. Oliver's companions pick an old man's pocket and ran round the corner , allowing Oliver to be seized for their offence. He is cleared of the charges and is then taken home by Mr. Brownlow, the victim of the crime.While Oliver recovers at Brownlow's home,Mr. Brownlow is sent on an errand to test him.Oliver to buy some books for him. Suddenly,Oliver recaptured by Nancy and Bill Sikes whose were Fagin's retainers .Fagin holds Oliver in strict captivity for a moment. Fagin wants to get Oliver completely involved in some crime. So he convinces Sik es to use Oliver in a major burglary At the house they are going to rob, Oliver goes through a window. The occupants wake up. Then Oliver gets shot. Sikes run off with Oliver but abandon him in a ditch.Fagin really upset when Sik es returns alone . Oliver stumbles to the nearest house, which is actually the place of the attempt ed burglary. Mr. Brownlow raise oliver with compassion .He became his foster father.Brownlow also give him counselling and encouragement i future. At the end, Fagin, Sikes and Dodger were all caught by the police. Oliver grew up and changed his life eventually I enjoy reading this book because the ending of this book is touching and inspir ing. Besides, I notice that there should be faith in our heart,otherwise we will be s ad all the time. By the way, if we have faith, we will be more optimistic and overjoyed to solve or face all the problems. To conclus, this book is suitable for the teenagers as it can encourage them to overcome difficulties. Finally i would like to urge it to my friends or relatives.This book is also sui table for them as well since people always have much pressure nowadays in hong k ong. After they read this book, they may learn how to treat the setbacks and torture.
