‘The Intemational Rice Research lnsttute—IRRi—is en
autonomous, nonprofit agricultural research and! training
‘center. It was established in 1960 to help increase total
food production from rice-based faraing systems in
developing countrias, particulary in Asia.
Its purpose is to establesh, maintain, and operate an
