Revision Timetable

Revision is always a daunting prospect and it can be challenging to know where to start. Many students gain confidence and support by drawing up a revision timetable. This will help you identify the main areas that need to be revised as well as provide structure in completing your revision. Do not spend enormous amounts of time completing a revision timetable, however, as this is a waste of valuable revision time. Try to plan your revision sensibly, giving yourself plenty of breaks and time to do other things that you enjoy. Revision is not about punishing yourself or spending every hour of every day going through your notes. Revision is there to help you prepare for your examination and ensure that you have covered the information thoroughly. It is far better to have lots of short sessions that help 1 you take in and remember the information, than large sessions that dont give your brain time to recover.

Some sample revision timetables are provided here. You may like to use these directly or use them to create your own. Whichever you decide to do, try to stick to your timetable as this will help to make your revision less overwhelming. Preparation is the key to success, so begin to think about your revision as early as possible. Try to get into a routine and stick to it. Build your revision up slowly so you begin with a few sessions and then introduce more as the examination gets closer. You are studying three sections for Integrated Science: Section A, Section B and Section C. Each section contains several Units.
