Using Light in Inventor Studio in 9 Easy Steps

1. Your assembly environment should resemble the following. 4. Here the Four Color style has been selected. The octahedral shapes represent the light sources. The change in lighting can be observed, however it is clear that the lighting is more suited for smaller assemblies and does not accommodate the large backhoe model.

2. Inventor Studio can be selected from the Applications pull-down menu.

5. By right-clicking the mouse and selecting New Style, a copy can be made.

3. Select the Lighting Styles tool.

6. The locations of the individual sources are given on the Point tab.

8. Finally, right-click the mouse to make the new light style Active.

7. Using this new copy, the locations of the sources can be modified to make them friendlier to the backhoe dimensions. Here the dimensions have been simply adjusted by a factor of 10. When the lights have been satisfactorily adjusted, click Save.

9. The new light style is more subtle and caters to the dimensions of the backhoe.
