The project aimed to build the capacity of community based care providers through training in the strategies that would lead to reduction in the spread of STI/HIV infection in Mazabuka District The project aimed to strengthen community support groups organizational structures and improve the capacity of community support groups staff to effectively deliver and implement HIV and AIDS related services. The project aimed to strengthen the national HIV&AIDS monitoring and evaluation system by building the M&E capacities of trainers and M&E managers in Swaziland. The project aimed to address the human capacity gaps that exist in the provision of holistic care for children in Uganda at all levels of child focused service delivery; family, community, health unit and policy level. The project aimed to strengthen the capacity of health managers in health financing, costing and budgeting, so as to enhance their planning, implementation and monitoring of financial components of their programmes. Specifically, the workshop focused on providing an introduction to health financing issues, basic costing and budgeting skills. The project also aimed to build the capacities of policy makers so they could better commission, manage, read and assess research more critically and effectively The project aimed to address the unmet sexual and reproductive health needs of HIV positive adolescents by integrating their unique sexual and reproductive health needs into existing HIV prevention, treatment and support programmes The project aimed to strengthen prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV services in Homa-Bay and Rachuonyo Districts in Kenya by reviewing and developing peer counselling training curriculum and training 60 peer educators and by implementing peer counselling services. This project aims to produce translatable videos on HIV testing, HIV prevention and ARVs. These videos will be used by trained health builders to work in local communities. They will screen the videos in homes in rural areas with the use of a portable DVD and then invite those who have watched the videos to get tested for blood pressure, sugar and HIV. Training Health Builders will provide each location with their own skilled POCT, referral and follow-up education and encouragement network. The project aims to improve the knowledge management systems among RATN MIs in ESA through the promotion of documentation and sharing of success stories.
