Billy Parton has been professionally training, showing and breeding quarter horses since 1976. Since 1992, with the beginning of AQHA detailed record keeping, he has earned 21 Superior Halter Horse titles with a resume of over 1,400 wins, 490 Grands , 439 Reserve Championships and 1,222 AQHA points. Additionally, Billy has achieved Numerous World Show Top Ten placings, over 400 High Point State Champions, 2 High Point AQHA Stallions and one Reserve High Point AQHA Champion Stallion. Also, in the last two years, 2010-11, Billy Partons Training Center has earned 4 Reserve World Championship titles and most recently a Home Grown Mare from BPTC earned the distinction of being named IBHA World Champion 2011. In addition, 2011 has seen numerous wins in AQHA Cutting along with 3 AQHA World Show Qualifiers and is currently ranked in the Top 3 AQHAs Open Cutting Rider standings. . At a young age Billy starting riding hunter jumpers under the instruction of Clarence Choo Choo Justice. Over the course of time he switched over to Western but never forgot his hunt seat roots. Over the years focusing primarily on quarter horses he has been competing in Western Pleasure, Reining, Trail and Western Riding. Billy has made a career out of training and showing Halter Horses. Most recently he has renewed his love of the cattle/horse relationship in Cutting. Additionally, he enjoys the challenge of starting and finishing young horses.
