1. Installation of Java
Installing Java jdk enables the Graphical Representation of Images and charts as well as for starting Oracle BI Java Host Service

Double click on jdk-6u21-windows-i586.exe

Click Next

Installer will automatically prompt for JRE installation directory. Click on the change button and change the directory as c:\Java\jre6

2. Installation of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 10.1.3.4.1

Navigate to OBIEE Software\ Obiee_Server_EE_101341

Select Server

Select Oracle_Business_Intelligence folder

Click on setup.exe

Click Next

Click on Browse button to change the default directory selected by the installer.

Create a new directory on D: called Oracle.

Under Oracle directory, create a directory named Products.

Under Products, create a directory named as OBIEE

Under OBIEE, create two subdirectories. OracleBI OracleBIData

Select the Basic and click Next

Select Complete and click Next

Provide the JDK path for Java Home. Password for oc4jadmin Administrator user is oc4jadmin And Click Next

Keep the default settings as is on this screen and click Next

Select Yes, Restart my computer to finish the installation.

Verification of OBIEE installation

Make sure following services are up and running. Go to windows service panel and verify the status of each service. o o o Oracle BI Server Oracle BI Presentation Server Oracle BI Java Host

Make sure you are able to open the presentation service URL and able to navigate to different dashboard objects.

Type the following URL in the browser window and you should be able to view the OBIEE login page.

When you click on the dashboard name (for example 00 overview) and you are not able to open the dashboard pages then you need to enable the Java Scripting for your browser.

Enabling the Java Scripting Go to Tools -> Options in the internet explorer.

Go to Security tab and then select local intranet and click on custom level button.
