A Detailed lesson Plan in English

I.

Objectives At the end of the lesson the students should be able to: a. Use words that describe animals b. Talk about animals of their interest Subject matter Topic: Words that describe animals. References: BEC 7 p.14 skills development book in English. Materials: charts, pictures of animals, drawings. Values: Kindness to animals Procedure A. Routinary activities. Prayer Checking of attendance Cleaning of classroom Checking of assignments STUDENTS ACTIVITY Good morning maam Maam Horse maam Maam Carabao maam

TEACHERS ACTIVITY A. Preparatory activities: Good morning class! Guessing games. I am big and color black, I have two horns, I move slowly when plowing the land what kind of animals am I? Yes, Marla? It is horse? Another? Yes, rose? Very good! That is a carabao it is big and black, it has 2 horns and move slowly when plowing the land. B. Review Now let us review our past lesson, who among of you still remember our topic yesterday? Yes, Kristal Yes it is all about using words that describe a person. Okay! Who can give an example of words that describe a person? Maam!

Maam Our topic yesterday is all about using words that describe a person.

Yes, Bryan? Correct! Another? Yes, Mark? Very good! Another? Yes, Jas? Yes very good all of that words are example of describing a person. Mary rose pls. stand here in the front. Okay! Kristal will you describe the physical appearance of Mary rose. C. Motivation Who have pets at home? Now Cindy will you describe your pet? D.Presentation Now I will tell a short story about Elas pet Are you ready to listen class? Ela is a fond of pets. She has a new cat that she called krissha. Heres my pet krissha, she is furry and greedy. She looks fierce but she is friendly. She has a red ribbon on her neck. After drinking milk, she still eats rice and fish. She is very healthy and I love her so much. C.

Beautiful! maam! Lovely! Maam! Industrious!

(Kristal describe Mary rose)

(the pupils raise their hands) (Cindy describe her pet)

Yes maam

Maam

It is horizontal line

Maam

Yes, Pedro Yes , very good. This line is what we call horizontal line, and in Cartesian plane we call this the x-axis.

This line is vertical line

What about this line class?

Yes, Juan Correct! This line is vertical line and we call this line in Cartesian plane the y-axis. And the two axes that intersect the x-axis and y-axis is called origin. And this four regions that the Cartesian plane divided into four parts is what we call the quadrants. Can you fallow class? Okay! In this system established a one-to-one correspondence between points in the Cartesian plane and ordered pairs of real numbers. That is, for every point in the plane, theres corresponds an ordered pairs of real numbers; and for every ordered pair of real numbers, theres corresponds a point in the plane. Do you understand class? Okay, an ordered pair consists of two well- ordered real numbers called coordinates. Who wants to give two ordered pairs of real numbers? Yes, Jessa Correct , our ordered pairs is (2,4) (2,4) is our coordinates. The first coordinates is (2). (2) is our x-coordinate or the abscissa . the second coordinate is (4) . (4) is the y-coordinate or the ordinate. The abscissa tells the distance of the point right (+) and the left is (-) from the y-axis. And the ordinates tells the distance of the point up (+) and below is the (-) from the x-axis. Do you understand class? Very good . ( the students plot the point in the Cartesian plane) I will give an example I will plot the first ordered pairs. Maam The first ordered pair is (-3,0) We form a house. (The teacher plot the first given) Yes, maam Yes, maam Yes, maam

Maam (2,4)

Okay who wants to try to plot another given on the board? Okay, very good! What kind of figure we formed on the Cartesian plane?

Yes, maam

(the students answer it on the board) Yes, Chloe Yes we formed a house using ploting points. Now do you understand class? Very good. I will give another example. (the teacher give another example on the board) Very good in the second example we formed a box. Okay did you understand our topic for today? Do you have any question? E. Generalization Okay! Once again what is Cartesian coordinate plane? Yes, Carla Yes, very good What about the origin? Yes, jasmine Correct jasmine! What do we call of the two axes that break the Cartesian plane into four parts? Yes, Bryan Yes, very good! Okay! Do you have any question class? IV. Evaluation Gives the coordinates of the ff. points. 1.A 2.B 3.C 4.D 5.E 6.F 7.G 8.H 9.I 10.J None maam Yes maam None maam Maam Cartesian plane consists of two coplanar perpendicular lines. Maam Origin is where the two axes intersect is called origin. Maam Quadrants maam

V. Assignment In what quadrants or axis is each point found? 1. (-1,4) 2.(0,5) 3. (3,-6) 4. (4,4) 5. (2,6) 6. (6,-5) 7.(9,-0) 8.(-4,-3) 9.(6,2) 10.(8,-2)
