THE Vision.

In these troubled times we are living though, when you turn to the Bible you will find that many solutions to the fears and doubts that we are experiencing are as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago. Many of Gods people look to scripture as a source of reliable advice, comfort and encouragement; and even use it as a daily guide for living because of the practical guidance it offers. The Birth Much as a favorite uncle would pass on his lifes lessons learned, the author of the Book of Life gives solid advice on just about everything we deal with today - friendship, education, finances, etiquette, marriage, family life and more. This book of life was given unto one man whom desire to do the will of God, desire to help others, desire to know more, desire to share the truth, and be able to uplift those who are facing the same trials and tribulations the Lord has allowed him to overcome. With this vision, the birth of the New Life Christian Outreach & Ministry was born. For it was written, that he must open up the doors so that others may know what it is to have a spiritual connections with the Lord, to have a life with the

Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. To build a solid and profound relationship with Christ. He was called to walk this journey on the values of faith, wisdom, compassion, trust and the will to obey all that God will lead him to do. The doors of the NLCOM were open on July 15, 1998. The Journey Almost from the beginning the devil was trying very hard to keep this vision from coming to past, but the strength that Rev. Smith was more than he could have imagine, for God knew that all he has carried him out of was becoming a living testimony to uplift others, and to help others see the truth. He begins to work with those who were incarcerated, starting the solid biblical institute of the New Life C.O.M. Sending in biblical lessons for those who were hungry for the word, encouraging others to seek deeper answers, and becoming faith to all that God was placing before them. He became a mentor to many, and brother to most. His heart begins to ache, wanting to do more. But he never question what Gods plans was. Reverend Smith begin to not only mentor those who was new

in Christ, but he begin to see the bigger picture of what was placing before him, and he begin to reach out to season Christ, sharing the word through the city of Chicago, and begin to host youth peer to peer conferences, as well as re-entry programs for those who was being released from prison. He felt that many Churches and Ministries deal with individuals in they are incarcerated, but they never do a follow up or establish a strong connections to continue to the growth when they return home. Reverend Smith begin to work on method and counseling sessions to help those rebuild their lives on a more professional and spiritual way. Connecting with each person who returns home from the prison system. Hosting Church services in his home, and started speaking to family members in getting them involved with what is happening in the lives of those whom proclaim to love them. But he also begins to see that was not enough. So he prayed asking God to connect him with a foundation that is truly about doing the work of his kingdom, and not be about money or ego ways. For at this time, Reverend Smith was running the ministry from his home, and using his own monies to get the material that was needed in order to run the ministry.

The Connections On September of 2002 God lead the New Life C.O.M family to doors of the United Evangelical Church of America. After going through a lot of conflict with knowing whom God has chosen for the ministry to join hands with, from being lied to, those playing mind games, and even at times people only using the ministry just to get themselves in the doors of power. Reverend Smith prayed daily for God to place the ministry with a true foundation and surround him with those whom God has called into his kingdom to do the work. God had chosen the UECA Foundation. Since that connections God has allowed Reverend Smith see a greater vision for the ministry, building upon the scriptures of Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, but acknowledge him and he shall direct your path. Reverend Smith decided to open up the doors for the New Life Biblical Institute and begin to use the teaching and wisdom of God to allow the ministry to license those who are truly about doing the work of the Lord. The ministry also started training others to become certified Christian Mentors and training to become a Prison Ministry. God then took the ministry on a higher level by allowing them to begin working in the field of

recovery, establishing a strong foundation, and program that allowed spirituality to be a major source in recovery, sharing God word in so many ways that they was able to place a degree of inspirations that man was given 5 aspects of his human stages. 1. Physically, 2. Mentally, 3. Emotionally, 4. Financially, 5. Spirituality. With that process, it has been known that one cannot live without the other, and you must learn how to grow in all stages in order to heal your soul and body from addictions. This method has had many success rates, and yet the ministry does not take the credit but give all honors to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Future. There is no telling what God is about to do next, but what he is doing now will never compare to the future. From establishing a solid and biblical prison ministry, to uplifting others within the recovery program, to teaching the will and the word of God within the Biblical Institute of study, is hosting a strong ministerial unity program for all ministers, to a network website and a Christian Social Media site and much more to come. But not matter what it is all by the will and the love of God that is moving this ministry to for front, and given them the very essences to stand firm in the battle against sin.
