Planning for academic activities other than Lecturers/Tutorial/Practical like Assignments, Case study, Presentation, Quiz, Projects, Class tests, industrial visits, teaching practice, court visits etc to be undertaken as a part of the continuous assessment for the Course should be prepared separately as per the format at the start of the session. 2. Industry oriented academic activity should be encouraged. If the academic activity is organization based, please specify the organization with respect to the assignment. Absolute theoretical academic assignments, which involve only copying from the books, should be discouraged. Model *(Method/Pedagogy) used in allotment and evaluation of the assignments should also be specified in the assignment plans itself. 3. All the students should be given a different topic of assignment, in all cases either the topic of assignment should be different or the organization on which the assignment is based should be different. S.No Roll No Topic No. Objectives of Academic Activity The main objective of this task is to enable the students understand the nature of retail formats and their suitable choice among given number of alternatives for specific nature of retail store. Topic To draft an ownership plan (for expansion of business) and identify the format/channel type for a retail business start-up w.r.t. the merchandise category allotted following the below given steps: (a) Students are required to analyze and decide which kind of format and ownership plan will be suitable under assigned category for business expansion. (b) The students have to identify what are existing players in assigned merchandise category and which route of entry (format/channel) and ownership plan would be more profitable and why? (c) You have to specify the reasons of your choice. For this exercise, you can also use secondary source of information whose references must be provided at the end of report.
