Please uninstall the EWOQ Mobile Plugin: 1. Go to Tools > Select Add-ons
2. Click on Extensions on the left hand sidebar and highlight the EWOQ Mobile Setup Extension 1.xx.
3. Click the Remove button first and then click the Restart now button to restart Firefox. 4. Please confirm that the EWOQ Mobile Plugins extension has been removed successfully by going to Tools and make sure the EWOQ Mobile Plugins extension is not displayed on the Tools menu.
5. You are now ready to install the new Default User Agent Switcher. Please go to the next section for step-bystep instructions.
4. When you attempt to install the User Agent Switcher, Firefox may display a small warning window at the top of the page. Please click the Allow button.
5. Doing so will display two small pop-up windows. Click the Install Now button to proceed.
6. You will be asked to restart Firefox to complete the User Agent Switcher installation. Click the Restart Now button to restart the Firefox browser.
7. Verify the User Agent Switcher was installed correctly by choosing Tools from the Menu bar. Doing so will display the User Agent Switcher option.
9. Follow the two steps below: 1) Click inside the box next to the Overwrite existing user agents when importing option. 2) Click on the Import button.
10. Doing so will open a window where you can locate the previously downloaded XML file as described in Step 1. Please click on the file name, useragentswitcher.xml and hit the Open button.
11. You will now see that the User Agent displays the mobile plugin information. Hit the OK button to close the window.
12. Go to Tools and hover over the Default User Agent text. This will cause menu options to be displayed to the right. Note that before making a selection there is a purple ball next to the Default User Agent. This indicates that the Default User Agent is currently selected. The Default User Agent is the standard desktop setting (even though the word desktop isnt shown).
13. You can switch plugins by choosing one of the plugin options. For example, if you click on Highend Phone Plugin, the expanded menu will close. If you then choose Tools from the menu options, you will notice that the Highend Phone Plugin is shown as the selected plugin. Also, the purple ball next to the Highend Phone Plugin confirms that it is the currently selected plugin.
a. Mobile Plugin Go to Tools -> Default User Agent -> Mobile Plugin. The plugin allows Firefox to display the page as if viewed on the appropriate mobile device. Open http://www.google.com and you should see the mobile version of the Google homepage (as shown below), instead of the standard desktop homepage.
b. Desktop Go to Tools and choose Default User Agent. This will revert the settings back to the normal Firefox setup. Open http://www.google.com again and you should see the standard desktop Google homepage. Please refer to the next section c. Desktop Displaying Mobile Section if your Google homepage still looks like the mobile version even after selecting Default User Agent.
c. Desktop Displaying Mobile Version Depending on your operating system or browser cookie setting, you may still see mobile pages, even after you switch back to the Desktop setting. Here are some recommendations: 1. Mac Users Selecting Tools and Default User Agent twice may revert the settings back to the desktop setup. 2. PC Users - If your Google homepage still looks like the mobile version even after selecting Tools and Default User Agent, you can click on the Classic link to see the standard desktop Google homepage. You can also clear cookies on your Firefox browser, but doing so will require you to re-login to EWOQ.
d. Checking the Current Mobile Plugin Status: Mobile Side-by-Side Projects Only This section only applies to mobile Side-by-Side tasks. The mobile Side-by-Side task page displays the current plugin status. You will see one of the following messages at the top of the mobile SxS task page, depending on which plugin has been selected.

2. When you are done evaluating mobile tasks, remember to always revert back to the original desktop settings through Tools and Default User Agent. If you don't do so, you may not be able to view certain sites or you may be limited to their mobile versions. For example, Gmail may not work properly if you forget to switch back to the original desktop settings. To verify that you have reverted the settings properly, open http://www.google.com and the usual Google homepage should be displayed.
