I would like to share with you the reflections of a young boy, who, at his very young age, has experienced the REAL presence of God in his life. Someone whose God is so real and personal to him. I invite you to FEEL the message, dont focus on the grammatical errors and syntax. He says: 1st day: i was in grade 1, i dont know yet who is God. and when i am growing up, i alredi know the 10 commandments. i have one experience when i was praying. i am praying for my family and all the pipol in dis world. and when i read the gospel, praying is not enuf. i still nid to to God's will. 2nd day: i have 1 experience when my mother asks who want to come with her. and words come to my mind. it says "follow ur mother". and i followed my mother to the church. and after mass i felt so happy. 3rd day: (no 3rd day) 4th day: in this story, God teaches us not to b afraid. i have 1 experience when i was 5 yrs old. my cousin tell a horror story/and when she finished it, we alredi slip. and i am afraid. and i just pray. 5th day: in dis story, it centers the sufferings of jesus christ.a ll of us nid to suffer when 1 of our family is suffering from 1 disease. when my grandfather died, i am crying bcoz i am the one who he likes. i also suffer for him. i am not sleeping bcoz i want to guide him. Let us ask ourselves, Is our faith as pure, strong and simple as this young boy is? If a young boy can have that total dependence on Him, why cant we?

CATHOLIC FAITH:
On the Resurrection and the Eucharist

CASTEL GANDOLFO, Italy, APRIL 19, 2009 (Zenit.org).- Here is a translation of the greeting Benedict XVI gave Easter Monday, April 13, before praying the Regina Caeli with the people gathered in the courtyard of the pontifical residence at Castel Gandolfo, south of Rome. *** Dear Brothers and Sisters, In these days of Easter we shall often hear Jesus' words resound: "I am risen and I am with you always." Echoing this good news, the Church proclaims exultantly: "Yes, we are certain! The Lord is truly risen, alleluia! The power and the glory are his, now and forever." The whole Church rejoices, expressing her sentiments by singing: "This is the day of Our Lord Jesus Christ". In fact, in rising from the dead, Jesus inaugurated his eternal day and has opened the door to our joy, too. "I will not die," he says, "but will have everlasting life."

the difficulties, struggles and trials of human life, including death, henceforth can no longer separate us from him and his love. His Resurrection has formed a bridge between the world and eternal life over which every man and every woman can cross to reach the true goal of our earthly pilgrimage. I am risen and I am with you always." This assurance of Jesus is realized above all in the Eucharist; it is in every Eucharistic Celebration that the Church and every one of her members experience his living presence and benefit from the full richness of his love. In the Sacrament of the Eucharist, the risen Lord is present and mercifully purifies us from our sins; he nourishes us spiritually and infuses us with strength to withstand the harsh trials of life and the fight against sin and evil.

He is the sturdy support in our pilgrimage towards the eternal dwelling place in Heaven. This they could not take and so they had to get rid of him.

The bread which you do not use is the bread of the hungry; the garment hanging in your wardrobe is the garment of him who is naked; the shoes that you do not wear are the shoes of the one who is barefoot; the money that you keep locked away is the money of the poor; the acts of charity that you do not perform are so many injustices that you commit. -- St Basil

BAKIT HANGGANG NGAYON

Mike Balba
