Dynamics Of Preaching The WOrD God Still

RobeRt Kwasi aboagye-Mensah

Kwasi, now that you claim you have become Gods spokesperson or priest, when He speaks do you hear Him? All Christian preachers claim that God has spoken to them and are therefore under obligation to communicate His will and purpose to the Church and to the world so that they believe in God as their Lord and Saviour. How do we know that God speaks and that we can hear Him when He speaks? How do we listen to Him when He speaks? What evidence is there to show that what preachers communicate to their audience from the pulpit or elsewhere come from God and therefore demand their urgent attention and radical response? This book, therefore, puts the preacher and the practice of preaching in the context of the question posed to the author by his grandmother, an African Traditional Religion practitioner, and to chart an authentic course that will guide the preacher to be an effective spokesperson of God. Concrete evidence of the authors wealth of ecclesiastical experience manifests in the astounding depths of wisdom and authority he exhibits; in the masterly manner he juxtaposes the preachers task as Gods spokesperson, with aspects of his grandmothers question, and the lively discourse in which he engages his audience in ten chapters of wellresearched doctrinal expos on the effective practice of preaching Gods Word. This book is timeless; it traverses generations of preachers and the practice of preaching, and will continue to speak to the same, generations to come. Every dynamic preacher must go for it.
