Course Description/ Outline

The aim of this course is able the students in writing, reading, listening and speaking. It
also develops the learner’s ability to communicate effectively in their practice area and in
other practical setting.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course the students will able to:

 Learn effective interpersonal skills in informal setting
 Use effective interpersonal skills in formal setting
 Gain awareness regarding verbal and nonverbal communication.
 Develop awareness about language use in different settings
 Understand the difference between oral and written communication.
 Participate in discussion on midwifery and non midwifery topics.
 Read and understand simple text at literal level.
 Receive and write short message
 Learn and use lexical items
 Learn and use appropriate grammatical structure
 Make effective oral presentations using clinical and non clinical contexts.

use of internet and e mail etc.

Course Description/ Outline

This course is designed to give basic concept of research, methodology, sampling, report
writing, literature review, collection and analysis of data. It also give an understanding of
ethics, critical Appraisal and utilization of research.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course the students will able to:
