Dear Parents & Year12 Students

8th September 2011

International Award for Young People Gold Level Award At Gold level, students undertake all of the planning and preparation for all aspects of the award. Many students will fulfill some of these components using their existing extracurricular activities; however, it is a substantial commitment and must not detract from academic study. Award holders are recognized worldwide as people who have achieved something beyond the usual academic qualifications. Universities, Higher Education centres and employers alike see it as a valuable addition to a Resume. More important, however, is the individual sense of achievement felt by Award holders at Gold Level and the experiences and fun they have along the way. After discussion with the Year 12s NIST is looking to provide the following three opportunities, for students to undertake their Gold Level Adventurous Journey.
