This is called as lateral luxation and is the common type of injury in primary teeth. The cown is displaced in lingually direction and the roots into the labial cortex away from the developing tooth germ. Unless otherwise occlusion dictates the laterally luxated primary teeth can be left untreated 1. No occlsusal interference: This is common as there is mild anterior openbite tendency in primary dentition. The tooth repositions physiologically under tongue pressure within three months 2. Mild Occlusal interference: grind the incisal edges of the anteriors and place composite on the occlusal surface of the posteriors temporarily to create open bite and allow the tooth to reposition 3. Occlsual interferences: manipulate with finger pressure to proper position and stabilize for 2-3 weeks. ______________________________________________________________
