Instructions for filling up the online application form seeking recognition / permission of teacher education courses in accordance with

National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedures) 2009, dated 31st August 2009, as amended vide notification dated 26.7.2010 and 26.11.2010. (available at www.ncte-india.org)
Read carefully the NCTE regulation, Public Notice dated 30.7.2011 and 31.7.2011 and the following instructions for filling up online application before processing to fill up online application and submitting related documents.

1. Institutions which have not earlier got themselves registered should click on Not Registered Yet link to register the login information and get Username and Password. These would be required for future reference. 2. Applications for grant of recognition including permission for additional intake or new course shall be submitted online and the copy of the printout of the application submitted online shall be sent in triplicate to the concerned Regional Committee alongwith following essential documents: (i) An affidavit on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 100/-, attested by Notary Public/Oath Commissioner stating the precise location of the land, total land area, permission of the competent authority to use the land for educational purpose, that the land is free from all encumbrances and the mode of its possession by the trust/society applying for the course. Copies of land documents, relating to ownership/lease duly certified by the office of the Registrar/Sub-registrar where land was registered. Attested, self attested or notarized copy of the land document shall not be treated as the certified copy. In the case of self-financed institutions, including Government or Government aided institutions running a course on self-financing basis, there shall be an endowment fund of Rs. 5.00 lakh per course per unit and a reserve fund of Rs. 3.00 lakh per course per unit of approved intake, in the form of a Fixed Deposit of a duration of one year in a Scheduled bank. The FDR is to be initially made in the name of applicant trust/society, and the original FDR or the Bank Certificate about FDR should be sent. (The endowment/reserved fund shall be converted into a Fixed Deposit Receipt in the joint name of an authorized representative of the management and the Regional Director concerned, at the time of issue of the letter of intent under sub-clause 9 of Regulation 7 to be issued to the institution and the same shall be

maintained perpetually by way of renewal of fixed deposit, thereafter at the intervals of every five years.) (iv) Building plan approved by the Competent Authority e.g. Municipality Corporation or in case of village Gram Panchayat as the case may be. If the building has already been constructed, a completion certificate may also be attached. A copy each of the Certificate of Registration, Memorandum of Association and Bye-laws in case the institution is managed by a Society/Trust. In case of application for M.Ed., M.P.Ed. new courses or for additional intake to a recognized B.Ed., B.P.Ed., M.Ed., and M.P.Ed. course a certificate of accreditation from the National Accreditation Assessment Council (NAAC) shall be submitted as per sub clause 4 of clause 8 of Regulations, 2009 amended from time to time.

All the details in the following six prescribed parameters need to be filled: (i) Particulars of Applicant (Please furnish the details of the society). (ii) Particulars of the Applicant Institution (Please furnish the details where the institution will function). (iii) Particulars of Funds. (iv) Infrastructural Facilities. (v) Instructional Resources. (vi) Games & Sports (equipments available).

4. Click on the submit button after filling all relevant information in the above form to confirm the data saved. You will get alert Data has been saved 5. The data so entered, can be edited till the Final Submission of Application for Payment. After completing the payment process, and submitting it, the data entered can not be edited. Therefore, see print preview before confirming Final Submit Application for Payment. 6. To complete the payment process any of the following options can be opted for paying the processing fee: (a) Payment through Credit/Debit card online In case you choose payment through the credit card, you will be directed to ICICI payment Gateway on NCTE website on which you can pay online through your valid credit card (Master and Visa) or VISA Debit cards. [of select banks, namely ICICI Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Corporation Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Kotak Bank.] An amount of Rs. 41017.96/- inclusive of Bank Convenience

fee & service charges for the same are to be paid. An online receipt of the payment made will be generated, which is to be sent through registered/speed post to NCTE along with other documents. Note: If your transaction become successful and you did not get the
Application ID while in Print Preview, please inform the NCTE, Hqrs, New Delhi about ICICI Transaction ID i.e. Merchant Transaction No. or Merchant Reference ID.

Payment through cash at any Branch of ICICI Bank In case you choose to pay through Cash Deposit at any ICICI Bank Branch: An online pay-in slip shall be generated for an amount of Rs. 40100/- on this website. Please take a printout of the same and deposit the processing fee in cash at any ICICI Bank Branch. The Branch shall give you an acknowledgement in the form of a transaction ID, on the Institution copy and applicant copy part of the Challan. Send the duly acknowledged Institution copy along with other relevant documents to NCTE through registered/speed post. (Banks convenience fee for this mode of payment is Rs. 100/-) Payment through Pay Order drawn at Bank other than ICICI. In case you choose to pay through Pay Order, please make a Pay Order of Rs. 40050/- in favour of National Council for Teacher Education payable at any Nationalized Bank. Choose the option for payment through Pay Order at ICICI Bank Branch at the Make Payment Page. Input details of the Pay Order and click to Generate Challan. Take a printout of the online Challan from this website and attach Pay Order with the Challan. Walk into any at ICICI Bank Branch for depositing this Pay Order along with the Challan. You must write unique auto-generated application number on the back side of the Pay Order. The Branch will give back the duly stamped Institution and Applicant copy to you. Send the duly acknowledged Institution copy along with other relevant documents to NCTE through registered/ speed post. (Processing of your application is subject to clearance of the Pay order submitted by you). (Banks convenience fee for this mode of payment is Rs. 50/-). Demand Draft In case, payment is not possible through any of the 3 modes above, the applicant may send a Demand Draft in the name of the Member Secretary, NCTE payable at respective Regional Office and the original Demand draft may be sent alongwith other documents of the Councils Regional Office.

After getting hardcopy of the Print Preview, please confirm the Application ID mentioned on the hard copy. Note down this number and use Application ID in all your future correspondence with NCTE and its Regional Offices. If you do not have a printer attached to the computer, you can go to the print preview page again by entering the personal details i.e. User Name and Password at some other computer with printer attached. Your submission of application will be considered as complete in all respects only when the printout of the online application along with documents as annexures mentioned in para 2 are submitted or followed by dispatch through Registered Post within 7 days from the date of submission of online application to the concerned Regional Committee Office. In case application has not been submitted online, the essential documents mentioned at S. No. 2 shall not be accepted and shall not be processed by the Regional Committees.

Note: (a) No fresh application or application for additional intake shall be accepted (other than from Minority Institutions) for courses in respect of the States as specified in the Public Notice, issued by NCTE on 30.7.2011/ 31.7.2011. Such applications shall be returned to the applicant institutions by the concerned Regional Committee. No column in the application form be left blank.

The column in respect of which there is no information to furnish or which is not applicable may be indicated as NA or 0 (for number). Registration for online submission for application for academic session 2012-13 shall be open from 1st August, 2011 to 1st October 2011. Applicant may contact the Technical Assistant, NCTE in case any difficulties/hardship during online registration process, at the Tel: 011-23370151 from 9.30 A.M. to 5.30 P.M. on all working days (except Saturday, Sunday and public holidays).
