ROLLING RESISTANCE AT MINE ROAD There are some of factors that influence the productivity of hauling unit; 1) Digging

Resistance; resistance that happened by excavator( there is friction between bucket and the rock also influenced by stone hardness) 2) Rolling Resistance; all of the force resultant that work at unit, especially at the tire. 3) Grade Resistance; the force that occurred because the changing of road gradient. 4) Traction coefficient; the factor that showing to us the mulberry of traction between road surface and tire surface. 5) Rimpull; pulling force that given by engine to the tire to make unit move. Between road surface and tire surface will active some of forces, consist of; Normal force, a force that have perpendicular direction between unit and road gradient. N = Wy= mg cos Weight force, occurred because of the mass of unit itself. W = mg. Divided into y direction; Wy = mg cos and Wx = mg sin Rolling Resistance, Fr = mg. = rolling resistance coefficient For x direction force, unit have force resultant; Sigma Fx=m.a (rimpull force) mg sin + Fr = m.a mg sin + mg =m.a mg = m.a - mg sin = a/g - sin Rolling resistance influenced by mine road characteristic (spillage, undulate, grade or road gradient, road width, road traffic, heavy equipment operator, slippery, etc), unit cycle time, condition of front loading and dumping point.
