Our laboratory is certified by some of the most prestigious Industrial and environmental oversight agencies including the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC), American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Louisiana Environmental Quality Accreditation Program (LELEP), Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (LDHH) and American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). We are currently approved as an environmental laboratory in conformance with the NELAC standards through the State of Texas for the following categories: Potable Water, Non-Potable Water, Solid and Hazardous Waste, and Air and Emissions. Certification under the NELAC program provides for reciprocity to all NELAC authorized states. Air Toxics: Toxic air pollutants, also known
as hazardous air pollutants, are those pollutants that are known or suspected to cause cancer or other serious health effects, such as reproductive effects or birth defects, or adverse environmental effects Methods & Services: Source Emission Testing, Ambient Air Monitoring, TO-14, TO15, RM-18, Regulatory Analysis, RM-26A, CTM-27, RM-5 and RM-7 for fungi and frequently also by culture for fungi and bacteria.
Mold: A very large group of microscopic

fungi that live on plant or animal matter. Most are filamentous organisms and produce spores that can be air-, water-, or insectborne, a common trigger for allergies. CHEMTEX specializes in the analysis of indoor air quality and environmental samples. We analyze volumetric air samples including spore traps for fungi and culturable agar plates for fungi and bacteria. Surface samples including tapes, bulks, dusts and swabs may be examined directly under the microscope

Asbestos: Strong and fireproof silicatemineral fiber that becomes brittle ('friable') with age, and pollutes air and water as extremely fine particles that can cause serious illnesses (such as 'asbestosis') and cancer (such as mesothelioma). Biological: Water quality has inspired

development of tests designed to measure its suitability for drinking, bathing, and release back to the environment. Water that looks clear and pure may be contaminated with pathogenic microorganisms. Even water that appears "pure" must be tested to ensure that it contains no microorganisms that might cause disease. On the other hand, there are so many potential pathogens that it is impractical to test for them all. Because of this, tests have been developed for indicator organisms. Travel, Sampling and Sample pick-up billed at an additional fixed price/hour. We will provide and ship the appropriate sample supplies/containers by non-priority status to clients within the continental United States at no charge. Clients requesting overnight delivery of supplies and those outside the continental U.S. will be invoiced for the associated charges when applicable. It is the clients responsibility to ensure proper sampling, packing, and return shipping to the laboratory under proper storage/preservation conditions. Billing by sample group is assumed unless otherwise requested. Billing terms are payable upon receipt. Samples requiring rush turnaround time are usually advanced scheduled prior to sample submission.
