Oracle Database Administrator

HORARIO: Regular Hours REQUISITOS:
Qualified candidates will possess: A four year degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience From 1 to 3 years related Oracle Database Administration experience Operation Systems Unix/Linux/NT Administration experience is desired Candidate may be required to work off hours Fluent in both English and Spanish (speak/write)

TAREAS:
In this role, candidate will be responsible administering databases, documentation, short-range requirements, and operational guidelines. The DBA is also responsible for installing, upgrading, or patching databases. Additionally, the DBA is the primary point of contact for most general problems related to databases and applications. Specific responsibilities include: Daily maintenance of database infrastructure (checking nightly logs, etc.) Monitor replication activity and respond to related problems (Disaster Recovery) Implement database server software maintenance and upgrades Troubleshoot database server and connectivity problems Resolve database related issues Maintain databases as assigned (monitor disk utilization, restore versions, etc.) Support for of new database applications with Developers Support Oracle environments as required, as well as other duties as needed
