THE WOES God utilizes woes to express anger in His Word. The woes only apply to His enemies.

They are a forewarning to those that don't do things Father's way. The woes don't apply to those that love and serve Him. Knowledge of the woes is paramount to all. The last three trumps are woe trumpets. They are very bad news for certain people. The woes are but the fulfillment of prophecy to those that serve God and know His plan. Let's begin our study of the woes in the great Book of Isaiah. 5:1 Now will I sing to my well beloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My well beloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: Make a note of Luke 20 concerning the parable of the vineyard. God had a beautiful vineyard that He loaned to man expecting fruit. What did He receive? Nothing! God then sent His only Son thinking surely the people would love Him. They crucified Him! Are you producing fruit? 5:2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. The wild grapes should be translated poison berries. You can't make wine from bad grapes. God expected a better harvest. 5:3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard. Judge between God's truth and this world. 5:4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes? God created this earth perfect. Look what man has done. Those of you that are familiar with the parable of the tares know God didn't sow the bad grapes. Satan did. 5:5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; [and] break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down: Without God's protective hedges and walls, deception will flood the earth. His protective wall will only be around those with the ability to judge between God's truth and this world. 5:6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. Spiritually speaking, there is very little latter day rain today. The latter day rain is symbolic of God's truth that brings the harvest to maturity. Father only provides the truth of the latter rain to those that are earning it. 5:7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts [is] the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry. God looks for righteousness in His vineyard; however, all He sees is oppression that causes crying. Look around you, friends. 5:8 Woe unto them that join house to house, [that] lay field to field, till [there be] no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth! When you overcrowd people or animals, the result is filth and disease. 5:9 In mine ears [said] the LORD of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, [even] great and fair, without inhabitant. We aren't talking about empty cities. We are talking about people . Many have become completely void of God's truth and knowledge of Him. One that is spiritually dead counts as nothing in Father's eyes. 5:10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah. One bath is less than one gallon. An homer, equivalent to ten bushels, is planted and yields only one bushel at harvest. Spiritually speaking, that isn't much fruit. Are you producing fruit. Are you producing fruit for God?

5:11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, [that] they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, [till] wine inflame them! Alcohol in moderate quantities is not strong drink. Strong drink is when one drinks the whole bath produced in verse ten. 5:12 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands. 5:13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because [they have] no knowledge: and their honourable men [are] famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. The thirst is for the Living Water. They are famished from not hearing the Word of God which is the famine of the latter days (Amos 8:11). The current captivity is biblical ignorance and usury. The captivity of the not so distant future will be to antichrist. 5:14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. 5:15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: The people that put their trust in the world have a long way to fall. Those that put their trust in Father are pruned into shape a little at a time as needed. When you get pruned, thank God for it and get with it. 5:16 But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness. 5:17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat. Here comes another woe. 5:18 Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope: One falsehood isn't enough. These folks promote false teaching by the cart load. 5:19 That say, Let him make speed, [and] hasten his work, that we may see [it]: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know [it]! Those that offer and listen to false teaching think they are ready for God's judgment. Unfortunately, most will be spiritually in bed with Satan, when Jesus Christ returns. 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! The prince of darkness, Satan, will appear first and claim to be the Prince of Light, Christ. I encourage you to become skilled in God's Word. No one will be standing between you and God Almighty on judgment day. 5:21 Woe unto [them that are] wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! 5:22 Woe unto [them that are] mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: These woes apply to those that put their own wisdom above God's and those that become courageous, when they have had too much to drink. No one listens to a drunk. 5:23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! 5:24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, [so] their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Don't worry about the poison berries in the vineyard. Those that put the things of the world above God's law and His Word will be weeded out at harvest time. 5:25

Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases [were] torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still. Even though His anger is kindled against those of the world, Father still has His saving hand stretched out to them. Won't you take hold of His hand? All you must do is repent of your "woe behavior", and believe on His Son, Jesus Christ. Put God above the things of the world in your life. It is your choice. In closing, we are going to look into the mirror of prophecy. Let's see if we can see the world of today.(Isaiah) 3:1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water, God will allow false teachers to take away the Bread of Life and the Living Water. 3:2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient, God will allow the pulpits to be filled with uneducated biblical illiterates. The blind will lead the blind. 3:3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator. Many pulpits today are spewing forth nonsense. They never come close to the truth of God's Word. 3:4 And I will give children [to be] their princes, and babes shall rule over them. Adults with the minds of children shall rule. If you don't see the fulfillment of this prophecy in the mirror, you are blind. 3:5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable. For the most part, the youth of this world treat their elders with no respect. Thank God for the children that study God's Word; unfortunately, they are few and far between. Educate yourself and your children in God's Word. Do the best you can do to avoid "woe behavior". If you do these things, you will be a child of your Father can utilize to accomplish His plan.
