Communication/Negotiation
• Negotiating rates, quantities and methods of working with contractors to achieve the
most robust viable and practical solutions.
• Worked as a Customer Service Advisor in a credit card call centre selling financial
products to existing customers. Strong interpersonal and telephone skills were
developed as a result.
Teamworking
• Currently responsible for processing and valuing digital drawings that have been
received by other members of the Cost Management Team. This involves editing
and reformatting to enable the drawings to be plotted to the correct size and scale.
Teamwork is vital in meeting deadlines and thorough business reporting.
Networking
• At the credit card company I had sole responsibility both to develop a customer base
to see the products and to establish a networking culture amongst colleagues to
ensure maximum internal referrals.
Project Management
• Responsible for range of projects with budgets of up to £40 million and
co-ordinating a small team in collating responses and recommendations. As part of
my degree completed extended coursework around risk management in construction
projects.
Computer Skills
• Good working knowledge of Windows-based programs, including Word, Excel and
non-windows-based including Cad Measure and WestPro Estimating Package.
