Introduction to S.R.P
In your daily life, you perform a number of activities. For example, brushing your teeth, listening to your parents, showing respect to elders obeying traffic rules on road etc. Why do you perform all these activities? It is because you live in a family.

This is true in case of personal life also. As we know, every person operates within a society. It uses the resources of the society and depends on the society for its functioning. This creates an obligation on the part of person to look after the welfare of society.

Social responsibility refers to all such duties and obligations directed towards the welfare of society.

Let us take an example. A drug-manufacturing firm undertakes extensive research and thus, produces drugs,

which are qualitatively superior. It also provides scholarships or fellowships to the family members of its employees for studying abroad. We find, in both the cases, the drugmanufacturing firm is carrying out its social responsibility. In case of the former, it is a part of its routine business function while in the latter case it is a welfare function.

Responsibility towards society

A society consists of individuals, groups, organizations, families etc. They all are the members of the society. They interact with each other and are also dependent on each other in almost all activities. Thus, it has certain responsibilities towards society, which may be as follows:

to promote sports and culture to provide assistance in the field of developmental research on education, medical science, technology etc.

Personal experiences

Aditya Mittal When I first went to Snehadeep then I realised that the world has changed a lot and life for blind individuals has improved. now they are capable of doing their own work. even i saw them using their cell phones n even computers through JAWS system and it is prodigious. I saw that motivation in them to learn, to work, to face that every challenge of life that ordinary man faces. They don't hesitate for anything whether its for learning or for playing sports. It was marvelous to spent time with those people and it also give me some kind of motivation. Their life is no more different from our life. Their senses are more sharp than ours and the best part is they never regret of what they are. They enjoy each and ever moment of their life and which also gave me a lesson that whatever the circumstances are be happy and content for what you have and never hesitate or look back in your life. just go for your dreams. Never underestimate yourself and always try to

motivate yourself. Seeing them working really touches my heart and I actually feel good by helping them. i should not say helping because I think now those guys are capable enough and can actually work like an normal person and even better than me in some areas. Despite of the fact they were visually challenged their heart and souls were full of enthusiasm as well as spirit to serve.

Prabhdeep Chhabra

This was the first time I ever worked for any organization. Working for this NGO was one of the best experiences of my life. At first I wondered how people who have absolutely no vision capabilities even have a desire to live. But as I stayed and worked their for a while I started to realize that a person can life his life to the fullest even if he is challenged in the worst forms. I realized these people hate being treated and be seen in a way pettiness. All that these people need is some training and motivation. We realize that their will power and

the will to do and achieve something in life is more than us normal people.
