Writers are often tempted to include everything that could be relevant to their subject, rather than merely everything that is relevant to the communication task at hand. 11. Coherence is the quality of hanging together, of providing the reader an easily followed path. 12. Specific experts possess extensive knowledge about a field in general, but they might be unfamiliar with particular technical terms, specific equipment, or recent advances in your document's subject matter. 13. If your audience consists solely of specific experts, you may need to give extensive background or define key technical terms or acronyms. 14. If your audience includes general experts, you must not provide sufficient background information and define any terms that they might be unfamiliar with. 15. If appropriate, you should create separate documents for each audience type. 16. A memoranda is a simple list of topics to be discussed (in order of listing), along with the names of individuals who have agreed to lead discussion of those topics. 17. Meetings without published agendas generally seem unfocused and unproductive. 18. A proposal is a written offer to solve a technical problem in a particular way under a specified plan of management for a certain sum of money. 19. A proposal is also considered a sales tool. It is a communication to sell a idea, concept, pieces of equipment, a complex system or a service 20. Unsolicited proposal is written in response to a direct invitation to bid; sometimes called a bid request. 21. A research report presents the solutions of an investigation of a problem which developed from a unresolved conflict or situation. 22. The body of the research report contains five main parts such as the introduction, research method and procedures, results and findings, summary, and recommendations. 23. Significance of the study presents the source of the problem and a description of the situation or condition that justifies the research. 24. Solicited proposal is sent to a prospective customer in the hope that the excellence of idea or plan proposed will result in a contract. 25. The scope should state the number of the respondents/subjects, instruments used like survey and interview and the research design such as descriptive or historical or experimental. It should not limit the specific aspect of the topic of the research. 26. Statement of the problem refers to an educated guess of the result of the study between two or more variables. 27. The style of the business letter depends on the relationship that is shared between the two parties. 28. A business letter should be long and exact to the point. 29. The business letter has to give out the main message to be conveyed at the end of the letter. 30. Mentioning the date in a letter is optional as it serves the purpose of reference in further letter regarding the same topic. 31. Before the date, you need to write the full name, designation and full address of the recipient. 32. Appreciation letter is written when you want to acknowledge someone for his help or support when you were in trouble. 33. Apology letter is written to show one that an error has occurred and that needs to be corrected as soon as possible.

34. The formal business letter should always begin with a date. 35. You need to include the name of the receiver, his designation and complete address. The inside address and the address on the envelope should always be same. 36. Receiver address is the opening line of the letter. 37. In a modified semi-block format text is aligned to the left side of the paper. Only the writer's address, date and closing in the letter are indented towards the center or right side of the paper 38. The text is left aligned and all the paragraphs in the letter are indented in a block format of the letter. 39. The letter has to be proofread before printing it finally. The letter should not have spelling, grammatical or typographical mistakes. 40. Always sign the copy of the letter before sending it. II.
