Many of our families have been struck down with the viruses circulating at present as well as Chickenpox, please keep your child at home for a full recovery! We have noticed that many students are coming to school with no lunch, please check that your child has their lunch before they leave the house. Today we had to find food for six students, this is becoming a daily pattern. One of our families suffered a house fire at the weekend and were very lucky to get out safely. All of their belongings however are seriously smoke damaged. We are accepting on their behalf donations of clothing for boys size 6 & 8 and toys that you may no longer use. This is a timely reminder to NEVER take the batteries out of your smoke detectors and always have them going! Congratulations to Kate Crowther and the Salford students involved in the Sing Out Choral Festival, we thought you were the stand out performers! Have a wonderful World Cup Rugby Weekend. Marlene

CHARTER UPDATE The Salford 2011 Charter is now compliant we received our confirmation letter from the MOE on 5 September. The Charter is available at the office if anyone would like to see it. We will continue to work through our numerous concerns with the National Standards and continue to do the very best we can for your student. We welcome your questions and concerns and we urge you to join the many parents writing to local MPs, Minister of Education or Mr Key if you are concerned about the implementation of this policy.

INTERNET SAFETY
A timely reminder that all students should be monitored on the internet. Parents should always check the websites that students are using. This encourages responsible use of this information source.
