June 2011 Dear Friend, Greetings to you from everyone at the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church in Torrington, CT. To every father who reads this letter we wish you a wonderful Fathers Day! May God bless and strengthen you today! All throughout the Bible we find a recurring theme in which God our Father says to us, Tell them about my love. We have a heavenly Father who never leaves us nor forsakes us! He always provides for His own. He has proven over and over what it means to be a good father. It is a great comfort and assurance to me that when I take steps of faith into unknown areas of life that I have a Father who is guiding my footsteps. I am not alone but Ive got confidence that God, who points the way, will be there to provide the means to accomplish His will in my life. A father is a leader. He is not only the provider and the protector of the family but it is his example of godly living that inspires his children to follow his pattern. There is such a powerful impact a father has on his children that settles them and gives them confidence that they, too, can be successful in this life, especially when it comes to spiritual matters. Throughout the Bible we read of God using spirit-filled fathers to impart gifts of Gods grace to their children. One of the most powerful examples of this was found in Genesis 49, where Jacob spoke to his sons before his death. He called Joseph a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall. Jacob told him there would be struggles, But Maybe you know deep inside that there is some special Godgiven gift within you but the situations and circumstances seem too difficult for that gift within to ever be realized. Dont give up! Joseph had a lot of issues to overcome, such as the fact his brothers sold him into slavery because they were envious of his relationship with the father. He was cast into prison while in Egypt because of false accusations. He was forgotten there for several years. He could have been bitter, but God had given him dreams. It was in that prison that his attitude was being changed and his vision sharpened. God was grooming him to be a leader one day despite all that was taking place in his life. This may not be your particular destiny but if God has placed a dream within you dont ever get bitter over others or the situation you are in. Let God have His perfect way in your life. Let Him work on the things you have no control over. Joseph did and when it was the right time he did come out and fulfill his dreams! But it was after he became a success that Jacob blessed him. This blessing was not really for the man Joseph because he already accomplished some

marvelous things in his life! His blessings were given for everyone who would follow the pattern of Joseph, maybe a person like you who for one reason or another is separate from your brethren. Maybe you are different than others for a reason known only to God. It may be that God has a spiritual position in His kingdom reserved only for you. You must understand it will never come through competition with your brother or sister, your neighbor or friend, or any one else, but God Himself will raise you up to that place He chose for you. Your hands will be strengthened by the hands of the mighty God of Jacobeven by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee Our blessings and strength come from the Almighty Father, the God of the whole earth. And He is at work for you! Now, if God be for you, who can be against you? No, the Bible tells us assuredly, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). If you put your trust in Him, He will work it out for you! He will bless you and surround you with protection and aide. He will lead you and guide you into all truth and take you to heavens home someday. The song writer wrote: Falling in love with Jesusits the best thing Ive ever done!
