Some members of th e local panchayat objected and then the district administration and panchayat fu nctionaries engaged the local Muslims in negotiations throughout the Eid day on 31 st August. Result? They could not offer the Eid prayers. There was never any communal dispute here in our village. There has been full com munal harmony and so we thought no one will object if we offered Eid namaz in th e field as our mosque is very small, Mumtaz Khan, a villager, told TwoCircles.net on phone. But as the news spread that the village Muslims are going to offer pr ayer in the field this year, some created rumors that they will capture the land for ever, and this moved the members of the majority community to get united an d oppose, Khan added.

We were ready to give them assurance in writing that we will use the land for jus t half an hour and go back to our homes. But the panchayat and administration in tentionally engaged us in negotiations so that we could not offer the prayer, Kha n said. Mr Nazimuddin, secretary, Rajasthan Muslim Forum who led a team to the village o n 2nd September told TCN from Jaipur that the Forum will take the issue ahead as in months there will be Eid-al-Azha (Bakr Eid). We will meet the DM and other au thorities to ensure the local Muslims get space to offer Eid prayers, Nazimuddin said. Has the incident affected the communal harmony in the village? Yes, the impact is visible. Some people from the majority community have called to snap ties with Muslims. They are calling to boycott purchase from Muslim shopkeepers and use of their vehicles, Mumtaz Khan said. Whats its result on the ground? To an extent, no t much. For example, they are bound to use our autorickshaws because only Muslim s are in the profession here, Khan informed. Keeping in view the coming Bakr Eid, Khan has written to District Magistrate and other authorities to provide land for Eid prayers. Share

The famous HUBLI controversy on claim of MUSLIMs to Govt land commenced by Muslims offerin g EID prayers on that land. So Muslims must offer land only on land belonging to Muslims or Mosques. The cause of riots on EID day as brought out by Sohail has got its roots in Muslims offering EID prayers on public road, streets etc. Rest of the People recent Muslims invading public places blocking movemet of traffic and pedestrians for long periods during EID. Saudi Arabia and other Gulf ISLAMIC COUNTRIES do not allow EID prayers in public places but INDIAN MUSLIMS insist o n performing EID prayers in public places just to spite and trouble others. Eid day rioting in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra between local rivalries among Politic al criminals has led to more than two dozen of Muslim owned shops looted and put to fire for no fault. Anna Lashkare of Shiv Sena and Raju Jahangeerdar are know n history sheeters in police records with political and criminal record.Anna Las hkare was bumped of three months back by allegedly Raju jahangeerdar in Aurangab ad. Since then Nawasa,Ahmednagar has been witness to constant tension between these two Gangs.On the day of Eid,supporters of Anna Lashkare found the hoarding of A nna torn which they had placed on chowk to pay respect to their leader after his death.Another hoarding of Raju Jahangeerdar placed at Eid Gah entrance wishing Eid Mubarak was also found torn. These tearing of hoardings has led to arson and rioting with firing at Muslims and stone pelting on their localities.Police reached in time also had to fire ma ny rounds to control the Violence.The rioters stoned the passing state buses cau sing injuries and even fired on policemen injuring them. By this time damage to Muslim property had been done.Police have arrested 30 on basis of records availa ble of the gangs with them.
