NSERC APPLICATIONS 2011

Components of your application

Letters of reference (2) Transcripts Online application submit completed hard copy to the department

Transcripts
Local (e.g. McGill) transcripts should be picked up in person (Service Point) or sent to your home address (should be done already!) Application may require contact information of a person to upload transcripts: if so, use Laura Nilson as the contact, and the e-mail awards.biology@mcgill.ca If you are having transcripts mailed to you, they will need to be kept in their original sealed envelope and included with your application file. We may be able to retrieve and use existing copies of foreign transcripts: see Nancy Nelson (nancy.nelson@mcgill.ca) for details.

Transcripts
Check the online system regularly to see if your transcripts have been uploaded. When they have been, you must click SUBMIT to finally submit and send the application. Transcripts MUST BE UPLOADED BEFORE YOU CAN SUBMIT THE ONLINE APPLICATION, so make sure you actually submit your application once they are uploaded!

Letters of reference
Need two (2) referees. One should be your supervisor. Make sure to advise them that they MUST print their letter BEFORE they hit the submit button. Referees also need to provide you with a hard copy of the letter, which should be sealed in an envelope that is signed across the seal. You must include these sealed envelopes as part of your complete application. If your referee needs to mail your reference and you are worried it may not arrive in time have them send the PDF copy to awards.biology@mcgill.ca with your name as the headline
