HE CROSSES OVER, HE SHOOTS, HE SCORES! The crossover is a common but profound move in the world of basketball. However it does not take a professional to become proficient in that move. If an individual works hard and believes they can do something, they can accomplish it! This mind set is the same in life and ministry, but in Crossover Internationals scenario Jesus Christ is the coach, you are the athlete, and the work is to believe, persevere and keep your faith. In doing these things you will always score. Crossover International is a faith based organization comprised of young, energetic people who have the goal of hitting the winning shot in life. Their mission statement is to expand the kingdom of God by using the sport of basketball as a platform to build relationships with youth, and to show them the love of Jesus Christ. Every summer Crossover takes collegiate and semi-pro athletes overseas to conduct free basketball clinics for kids in those communities. In the evenings, the athletes get to experience international competition against some national and pro teams. Crossover co-Founder and President, Nonzo Azubuike (brother of current NBA athlete, Kelenna Azubuike) believes that Crossover International is destined to touch the lives of hundreds of thousands of people through the Word of God and the platform of Basketball. Their core scripture verse comes from John 5:24 which says: Very truly I tell you; whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has [crossed over] from death to life. Domestically, Crossover endeavors to invest in their community through various programs; the main one being Crossover Basketball Academy or CBA. In addition to improving basketball skills, CBA focuses on character development based on biblical truths. These principals will inevitably grow them as a leader, in their conduct, and most importantly in their relationship with God.

The most significant, empowering program Crossover offers is their International Tours. Throughout the year Crossover devotes the majority of their time recruiting athletes who share a similar vision- to minister overseas. These athletes commit to raising support so they may travel overseas to share their faith and love of Basketball. Crossover has traveled to Germany, Czech Republic, France, and Romania; and this year looks forward to adding South Africa and Malawi to the roster. Crossover takes basketball-loving fans and crosses them over to being key players for Gods team! Each year they have even succeeded in bringing youth to a better understanding of God and the game of Basketball! Orchestrating a basketball camp is one thing, but to see a life CHANGED through the vehicle of basketball is something that can bring tears to your eyes! As a Romanian youth put it, Crossover has shown me that I can enjoy playing basketball and learn Gods word at the same time. They made it fun for me. I love Crossover!

THE GALA ETERNAL IMPRESSIONS

2011 marks the 10- year anniversary of Crossover Internationals work. We will celebrate what God has and is doing with our black-tie event on October 23, 2011 at the amazing Mile High Station in Downtown Denver. We will be highlighting the work already done and broadcast the vision for our future. Honored guests include prominent pastors, Public Figures, and NBA Athletes who have supported Crossover in many ways. The Gala will include live entertainment, a 5 star dinner, Silent Auction, and words from Chad Bruegman of Red Rocks Church, Golden, Colorado and Coach Dan Waldeck of The Masters College, Santa Clarita, California.
